Well the ute has gone in to the body shop today to have her scares removed. I was a little nervouse leaving it with them but I think all will be ok and I should come back from hoildays to a hopefully perfect ute again. Pic on pick up will be posted for any who care to see.

Thanks Rob. Local boys that are literally down the road are on the job. Hurstridge motor body repairs. They do an orsm job from all the work I've seen so quietly confident it'll be spot on.

Dropped into the panel workshop today to test fit my headlight covers and see how it was coming along. Looks wicked and they have done an ORSM job of fixing the damage, espesially the dings in the cab. I checked out behind where the Big hits where and it's all but perfectly smooth again and as I hoped stuff all filler has been used. Colour match looks to be perfect but the true test will be when I get it out in the sun. They even took the time to do the little thing like fix the chips in the bonnet and black haze out the middle of the splitter. So far I'm extremely happy.
Here's a pic in the shop. Still needs to have the door aligned properly and basicly finnish putting it back together and a wash and polish but it show the basic idea.

Been in every day since I got back from Queensland. They're really cool about it as they already knew the car from seeing it go past everyday before it went to them and know how it gets looked after.

Yeah Im pretty happy with it so far. What you think of the headlight covers? I think it makes it look tuff as. Pick it up tomoz in the arvo or Friday at the latest. Told them to take their time and do it right and not to worry about rushing it out.

Makes you feel sick doesn't it. When someone hasn't got the nuts to admit they've just f$%ed your car, which is obviously well cared for, someones pride and joy, and slink off without taking responsibility.

That would be a pretty damn expensive repair, respray of the entire side of the ute.

G'day Tex! How the heck are you mate? Thanks for the words of support dude. Yes it was BLOODY expensive but insurance took care of the bulk of it and I almost cried when it happened to be absolutley honest. I folked out a bit more and got the bar re-done, splitter re-done and drivers side guard blended for a better colour match to the D/S door which was a little off. How you enjoyin the scud mate? Still got you smilin??

I'm well, and the Scud is going hard mate. It's still ripping up the track, performs daily drive duties, and keeps me entertained EVERY time I drive it. I love it.

Well They didn't want to give it to me as they were not happy with a few things but let me take it for the afd and I need to take it back for a couple of days for them to finish of the few blemishes and a ouple of little extras I asked for but hadn't had time to get to. Over all so far I'm very happy with the repair asside for a few little things that can be fixed.
