Though technically, a Porsche 911 and Porsche Cayman are "hatchbacks." Agree with you about how great it looks though... and its tops inside.

What's the go with the bumper (under the lights).. Did the focus hit puberty and get some pimples or something?

There's nothing you can teach me that I don't already know about my favourite sports car of all time. Perhaps you can take note that I said, 'technically,' and not, 'yes it is this.' It shares body-style design with a hatchback. The major difference being that where the rear hatch would be, you have engine sitting over the rear axle.

The interior is actually hardly any different to the current model, the gear select, the surround, the stalks, the radio controls looks exactly the same the only real difference is the dash which does look like it has been photoshopped and also the middle section where the icc is. I am not to sure how genuine these shots are, if they are its a pretty poor upgrade.

I dont understand you guys who are bagging out this Focus!
While the last one was nice, it was a little plain. This one can hardly be called that! I love the new organic headlights, but it wouldve been if theyd done a little more to the back. The new Ford euro/kinetic looks is awesome and whether you love or hate it, its herefor at least what, the next 5 years? The interior is enough of a touch up for me, nothing wrong with it in the first place! I think the days of ED Falcon to EF Falcon style interior updates are over- shortened life cycles mean a new nose and tail and thats about it. Lovin the effort to add new doors with the organic crease...didnt AUs have a crease as well...noice. And the new tailgates number plate surround is very first gen focus, looks like its back to the future for Fords design: new edge is back! lol |

Doesnt work, they have tried to make the new styling blend with the old and as a result created poo. I wasnt a fan of the current one anyway, but this one seems to be worse. Will have to wait for the all new one me thinks before focus styling gets back on track.

To those who think this Focus looks ugly, take a look at the '08 US Focus.

In the US, this is the first refresh of the 1st generation Focus. They rejected the 2nd generation as being "too expensive" (probably for fleets!), and have plodded along with the car basically unchanged until now.

Im sure there will be a sporter version, i ave to admit, i didnt like the current focus but it did grow on me, then they released the xr5t and then i was sold on the idea. So maybe its something ill get used to the 08 eventually, not a fan at the moment.
