if there wasnt a shortage of supply of klugers, the territory sales might actually have looked quite bad? |

the ensuing months will tell us whether Territory continues its success, product mix- Kludger doesn't have a diesel. Territory sales are 50/50 petrol diesel which means the RWD I-6 is still a very strong seller and with much improved fuel economy the word is spreading about Territory with lots of high series 4WD trade ins.... |

While the Territory sales are going well now it is only the first two months. I would rather wait to see six months worth of sales data. If after six months they are still selling consistently ~1500 a month then there is cause for celebration.

In June this forum rightly stated that a large number of registrations were for dealer vehicles, what the July figures show that real customers are buying and registering vehicles and this is inspite of claims of slow orders (on the 2011 Territory thread), which shows there is still pent up demand.
Sales are strong, demand is strong - lets see how long it lasts. |

Ford just needs to get LPI out and push Falcon / Falcon ute a bit harder and it will out do Commodore with Falcon / Territory.
Interesting times ahead. |

Just heard radio ad for Jeep Cherokee Sport....$35,0000 drive away.....
That's impressive and will stop Ford from "settling" with Territory, they may have to respond to protect their sales level... |

2. Well said, that BTB turns up like clockwork to spew negativity on good results and progress on problems. 3. Great news, media obviously sticking to Ford PR re 50/50 petrol/diesel sales mix, the Ford chiefs must be delighted with high diesel sales, totally vindicates the decision. Question, If EcoLPI is a success, would Ford add Saturday shifts for a while before considering rebalancing the line? |

It's amazing the Crown Victoria still sells as well as it does, considering it has not changed much in 20 years. A lot of people stateside are gonna be sad to see it go I think.

relying on fleet sales to keep it alive and available at a low second hand price. A nice car that lived way beyond its time that became a victim of FWD rationalization.... |
