Finally picked up my car yesterday...very happy with it, no complaints and very happy with the colour choice (Sea Grey) and the decision to fit Euro plates...makes it look very distinctive.
I'm getting quite a few looks from fellow motorists, you dont see many Mondeo's on Melbourne's streets, it's nice to drive a distinctive car but it would be nice to see a few more on the road. |

I was thinking of going down to Bunnings to have a look for it. Cheers.

Another thing I found out today if you lock the car and you come back from shopping and open the back hatch DONT place the key on the boot floor otherwise you will lock yourself out when you close the hatch IT SHOULD REMAIN OPEN until you relock it!! another design fault

Yes Apstar - I found that out as well. I now just use the door open and then manually open the boot.
I have a bad habbit of putting my keys in the floor of the boot and then shutting it. Did it with the Mondeo but thanfully, it was on the first day I had it and still had both sets of keys with me. |

Not really a design fault? more of a safety feature i would have thought.... My Focus if you just open the boot and not the doors, they remain locked, if you unlock the doors and dont open any, they relock, but if the boot is open, it does not automatically relock. Thats so that no one can get into the car while you are loading the boot... ? I dont know, its a feature i like. And i have never had any problems with locking the keys in the boot..... |
