My point re the long style race headers.
Simple fact is its illegal. I want to be able to enjoy my car legally, and i dont wish to run the risk -a missig cat is not something you just glance over.

I wouldnt worry too much, cops dont really look too close at little bubles like the focus, I drive my XE 351C with no exhaust most of the time, so im not missing a cat im missing 6 odd feet of pipe! and still no ones pulled me over to care. I think you'll be right in a little focus bubble.

I should probably point out I wasnt making fun of the focus but saying that its not high on the 'check that car out list'. I also own a 2006 Focus.

Pardon my ignorance here. But can someone please clarify. :
You are able to buy 'extractors' for other vehicles. What is the difference between an 'extractor' and 'long tube header'? Is the only reason that long tube headers are illegal is that it is implied it connects direct to the flex pipe and totally bypassing a catalytic converter. The ST170 has 4-2-1 long tube headers with the catalytic converter sitting after that. I see no reason why a high flow cat cant sit after the long tube headers (except that it might be difficult to fit). |

QUOTE] Yeh King Pin, That's the only reason. Long tube headers as sold by the US houses delete the catalyic converter which sits very high up ( to generate immediate heat and thus reduce emissions as quickly as possible from start up.) In the US it is illegal to remove a working catalytic converter, so even replacing it with an aftermarket cat doesn't really pass muster. I am not as sure of the law here, but clearly you are required to have a cat. The trouble is, there is not a lot of space under the Focus to relocate a cat further back in the system, and thus the problem.

It'll cost you around $650 each and no I can't sell these rims You need to call Oz racing on 03 9429 8482 http://www.ozaustralia.com.au |

I own a LR focus. So I don't think it will be hard to find a strut brace for that. XR5 hasn't been released yet

All the Zetec model 03-05 doesn't come standard
I have seen the new Focus Duratec and theres no strut brace standard. All you get is a stock standard car, Ford Australia doesnt sell any performance parts. I have just look at Ford Australia web site and there nothing about a stock standard strut brace, so unless Ford Australia have added this in the last 5 month its news to me as well The strut brace is bolted on the right and left suspension nuts in the engine bar, so its not hidden on you. |

Hi everyone,
Lorraine and myself at FRA would like to thank everyone who has view our website, e-mail or call us about our parts we sell. Please feel free to call us mon to fri 9.00am to 5.30pm and sat 9.00am to 4.00pm Brisbane standard time. By calling FRA, we can answer all of your questions and get a better understanding of what you want to do with your Focus so that when you add the part to your Focus, you don't need anything else. We're still waiting on some price, sorry for the wait. There will be some Duratec engine parts coming out soon from UK, no date as yet. We are going to make our own air intake for Zetec and Duratec. We'll have photo of our Zetec CL 2005 hatch by wed or thur on our website. We added the racing wing over the w/end, you might love it or not like it. The bodykit thats on our car, you can't get that anymore world wide. FRA is going to redesign the bodykit so that you can use your stock fog lights and rear brake lights. It'll be a 5 piece kit for ZETEC model, hood, front and rear bumper and 2 sideskirts. It will be all made out of fiberglass, and it will cost you less when it comes painting. We are going to do the same bodykit for the Duratec model. This bodykit won't be ready for a good 6month+ Feed back is always welcome. |

AFAIK, there is a LR CL, or a LS CL. No such thing as a ZETEC CL Maybe i am just missing the point... Also, Some additional feedback, Dare i ask why you would have Left hand drive stuff for sale on your site, selling to australia? Who would purchase that? Would someone in Yankee land purchase something from Oz given the FTA? |

There is CL model, I own 2 of them and it has a Zetec engine in it.
You must be thinking of the Duratec zetec, Don't know why Ford calls it a zetec when it has a Duratec engine What left hand drive stuff? Everything on our site fits our right hand drive Focus, everything on the US Focus is the same our Oz Focus. only difference is the dash and the pedals are on the left hand side and that it. I think you need to call me so that you can get a better understanding of what we sell. If you and other people on this forum think we sell parts that won't work on our Oz Focus and ripping people off, you need to call today tonight or ACA and I'll be more then to happy to show them. We won't be selling the supercharger and the performance chip. We have done our best to offer high performance parts for the Ford Focus. I have been rip off by company in the states before I was a dealer. I make sure it fits our model, I want people to walk away feeling great when they buy from us. Any Focus owner who live around Brisbane, are more then welcome to see our Focus and test drive our Focus and see how great the brake are. We'll be going drag racing by the end of the year and it will do flat 11's and under with the help of a big turbo We'll be adding every single part we sell to make this happen 1st car we be manual 4WD and WRC suspension 2nd auto and FWD only Here at FRA, we are going to try and be the worlds fastest Ford Focus.
