Yes and don't forget the XR8 doesn't have the R spec launch control program.

I just noticed that finance companies are starting to specifically mention XR8s and demonstrating that gorgeous quad pipe thunder.

I can't say I rate that sound at all, a good mechanical cammed cleveland on a bad day with a couple of plug leads off would sound better................in that Gold XR8 audio video from Bathurst the other week the car sounded more ballsy to me, but I think the car was only idling? Cheers Mick |

That audio is terrible because it looks like it was done with a phone. There is certainly a lot if options and potential to improve. The interesting thing is that XR8 is generating a lot of interest.

XR8 has the same PCM as the GTF, but I guess just the plain old tune.

Howdy gentlemen, my first post back after a 7 year break. Didn't see an answer to the request for an email address for David Cockle, it is dcockle@bayford.com.au David is my co worker in Fleet Sales @ Bayford. Not sure if real price has been discussed in this thread but you are essentially looking at 60k on road for the Manual and 62k for the Auto...other Dealers might discount more (I'd be surprised) but that's the pricing at Bayford.
Agree it is still awesome value, someone mentioned it makes the GT-F look expensive...my opinion, only a Harley Davidson is a Harley Davidson and only a GT Falcon is a GT Falcon...both will serve the owners extremely well on resale value for sure. |

58k is good, I'm glad that they are doing that but surprised (Couldn't find an appropriate emoticon for you.)
The reality is that they will all sell and clearly we under sold our GT-F's when you hear of the prices others sold them for. I'm not a massive fan of the apparent "Cashing In" but I get it, it makes sense, demand & supply...I paid the same for my GT-F as I sold them for...no complaint, the car is well worth the money and it helps me now to justify the ask on the XR8's. |

Hey Smiddy, even better! You did extremely well...last ever Falcon V8, Blue Oval, Kinetic Blue, great nostalgia value...White looks awesome but my GT-F is Kinetic for that exact reason.

Some more pictures from Tuesday night
Excuse the pic overload. But I guess people want to see live examples! Drove both the XR6T and the XR8s again. This time much harder around the track than last time. Will post pictures from the day once they clear Ford compliance. The XR8 SC whine is very addictive. Last edited by gcg2503; 02-11-2014 at 10:00 AM. |

Great pics of the colours. The new hero orange looks easily the best, really shows off the lines, as does blue.

By the look of things XR8 production is moving full steam ahead............are we likely to see customer cars out in the wild shortly? Or do we have to wait until December?

The more I see it, the more I think Kinetic is the way to go.
I know my order is locked in and confirmed, February can't come soon enough..

I have mine ordered in Vic Gold. The only auto so far in our poll. I wasn't surprised at the Kinetic being popular but was very surprised at Smoke A. Being so far behind and B. being next most popular. I too saw the one at Bathurst and nearly puked because of the green sh@t on it. There is a pic on here with the Vic and Kinetic side by side and for me its a close choice. I REALLY wanted them to bring Octane again but not so, bugger. So like I see all those Marty reports on Mustangs I will have a rare, only one of a kind, unique, never done since or before type car. lololololol.

Just in case you missed it, post #359 of this thread has an Emporer XR6. No Emporer XR8s yet, tho.
