True. But the second half and extra time was good. The yellow card was not right and the calls weren't equal in the first half.
I thought in the first half that the dives were pretty equal. Germany did some and Italy did some. They were soft though.
I was going for Germany though so I'm dissapointed they didn't go through. Ahh well at least they have a shot at 3rd place.

Forza Italia !!!

Good Game
That foul was deserved cos he tackled from behind.

Ballack dived quite a bit today, so see its not just the Latin teams that do it.

Unfortunately 'the latin teams' progressed doing it so the other coaches would be changing their style to marry up with how the decisions are going :P

NO decisions influenced the Game or result. Italy deserved to win twice when the goalkeeper was clearly beaten and the ball bounced off the bar. It should have been 4-0 thats the only debate on the result. Forza Italia :eclipsee_

Yes I agree (I am just not a massive Italian supporter). It would be good to see an underdog get in and win the cup. Especially seeing as though Portugal have never won before. It has been 40 years since they have been as far as they are now.

But France seem very strong, while Portugal didn't play well in their last match.

Either way, I want Italy to loose in the final. Don't get me wrong they are a good team, but all the fakeing they do does not show good sportsman ship, and makes the game dull. This is a major problem which needs to be somehow wiped out through the entire sport.

Zinedane might work his magic again!
I am going to watch the game for sure. I missed out on seeing France V Brasil. Anyone know if they are going to replay that match?

But at least Ballack knew the difference between his face and his legs, unlike Totti if you catch my drift.

But having said that, I still thought Italy were better. If its Italy vs Portugal in the final, I'll be going for Portugal, if they're playing France I'll be supporting Italy all the way (the lesser of 2 evils :P) as I hate France, even if Zizu is a genius.

But we all have our players that we don't like and I don't really like Totti.

TOP game imo, stop going on about the diving, its been a given in the game for years and years. I'm more baffled why refs are suckers still for this or is the standard of refereeing getting worse.
Mind you I thought the Mexican ref this morn had a top game.

That was semi-final with it all, I loved it how the Azzurri were able to kill off the German juggernaut ! How many shots did Klose have ? Podolski escaped a few times but under check mostly.
The skill with the short pass was sensational !
I take my hat off to you Italy,a big win against as some say the form team and on their turf !!
Fooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrzzzzzzzzzzzzzaaaaaaaaaa aaaa !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First time Germanys ever lost in Dortmund tells you something about the effort.

Agree Totti lost the plot in that incodent. He can be a lout on the field but I have to say this coach has done what I thought was impossible and turned him into a team man and not a goal hungry player to keep shooting shots from anywhere and everywhere. I suppose being a workhorse rather than just a skilled forward still can get him frustrated at times. Its a big change to make after so many years.

Alot of {11 out of 22} French and Portugese players carrying yellows..If they get a bad ref or play a physical game Italy could be playing the bench.

Lets face it, diving and acting has always been part of the sport and always will be. The germans did it too.... so lets just accept it as part of the game. Again I was out watching the game with about 200 other fans this morning.... unreal.

Can't wait until Monday morning..

Forza Italia !!!

So it's down to Italy Vs France after the french knocked out Portugal 1-0.

Should be a great game, one i'm really looking forward to. Can Italy exact revenge for their Euro 2000 defeat?

Personally i would like to see France win, but i think Italy will prevail and take the glory.

Another penalty that shouldnt have been a penalty at all...its about time FIFA looked into Video refs for "in the box" incidents...absolutely disgraceful.

Luis Saha (France) and Mauro Camoranesi (Italy) will miss the final through suspension.

I slept in this morning and didn't get up to watch the game. I will watch the replay at 5 this alvo though.
Should be an exciting final. I too think that Italy will win but I would like to see France win. It would be a good send off for Zindane as this will be his last world cup game and he is a fantastic player!

watch the state of origin last night??

10 replays and the video ref still got it wrong... I am all for something but a single video ref may not be the answer, perhaps a panel of 3?? In saying that anything would have to be better than the 2 men, the line of sight and normal speed mistakes that have popped up in this world cup...

Which incident are you talking about?

If you mean the hodges one, I cannot see how on earth anyone could think it was a knock on? The video ref got it right...

Well this one was 100% not a penalty he just dived and the path to goal wasnt blocked. Hope the refs dont decide a World Cup Final like that FFS.

Italy 2 France 1...Zidane will have a much harder job than he did in the last 2 games against players that know how he plays from his Italian club days. I reckon Gatusso will get the job. I still predict Henry to cause a few problems as he likes to take defenders on with pace.
