Don't read much into my chops, I'm just mixing the FG into it.
I'm guessing it will be a mix of FG and Kuga.

I like it except for the headlights... they just look a bit weird compared to the rest of the car.

What I will say about the new Territory is that it will have a much sportier appearance, quite aggressive, and should be viewed as being quite a bit more 'refreshed' that some are suggesting. This is of course on the assumption that they have gone through with the things I knew about early on in the program. Tomorrow I should know more.

SB076 - I would love to have seen a ground up redesign. But that was never going to happen as I alluded to in an other thread in the Territory section. The changes you will see still required significant investment. The danger will be that the design, interior and exterior will strike a familiar chord because we've lived with the theme since FG. So this will no doubt be cause for concern for some.

Understanding that, I am happy with where Territory is ending up. People will expect more, some will like it, some won't. I think it's a big thumbs up!

I think something that we should expect is a headlight not drastically different to FG Falcon. The inside lowbeams would have to be 100% definate, as i'd imagine just like BA/SX the new model will share the headlight internals with FG Falcon.

I think a sharper lower grille would also be on the cards. SX-SY2 already has something somewhat trapezoidal,

Will have to agree with you there JPFS1, although it is not a full redesign it is certainly a great improvement.

The other thing Territory fans need to be aware of is that the 2.7 V6 Diesel shared with
PSA is/was also available in FWD Citroen vehicles as well, so there's an outside chance it
can be engineered in to the new Explorer eventually for global markets.

That could also be Ford's ultimate plan somewhere down the track......

Thanks for the info - will be good to see what they have come up with once they release all the details.

The only hint I'll give is that is a Ford kinetic design. How much though

Yes...... perhaps with narrower headlights and a bumper which takes some cues from Focus 3 / Fiesta.
