Cobb short shifter went in today, took the 40% option over the 30%. Feels sweet, obviously a much shorter throw and only slightly heavier too.
Gave her a good scrub ready for the cruise tomorrow.

Cobb intake installed. Wasn't overly straight forward but the end result is very pleasing.
Has given a bit more intake noise but it's not that noticeable with the sound symposer. I can see why some maps disable it

Yeah the pipe can be fiddly, not much room back there, glad to hear it all came together. The Cobb is still pretty much enclosed, keeps noise in check, anything open pod is banzai.

Thanks, yeah fiddly is an understatement, the stock pipe wasn't easy to get off either.
I didn't want too much noise so perfect for what I wanted and still oem-ish looking. My brother has a 3MPS and recently fitted an exposed pod, reckons it's off the scale!

So the Cobb filter is in. It's definitely loud enough for me. Glad I didnt go for the full open intake, it would create way too much attention!
Still too early to tell how it is performance wise though.

Good job and yeah, the open pod surprised me with the volume. If you want anything near conservative stick to an enclosed or semi enclosed unit.

Having the Cobb intake pipe makes it slightly louder again than just the filter alone

Have you noticed much of a change in performance with the intake pipe in there?

Imagine dealers removing every bumper and grill to fit plates though, but im sure Ford have came up with some way to mount the plate without pulling the bumper off.

Don't the plates just self tapping screw mount?

Didnt use self tappers. Used some bolts with a couple of nuts on the end of each bolt.
Also there is no 'guide' holes in the US grill to drill, although it is easily measured.

Makes sense. To get behind the grille without removing it you could take the radiator shroud off to get your hands in behind there

Stuff that. I'm not taking my bumper off just so I can remove my plate lol
I'll use the self tappers if I ever upgrade to it

Gotta admit it looks much better, I went down the easier but more expensive route myself. $400 Euro plates that fit the hole.

BC Racing Coilovers finished last night, bit of a saga with the wrong rears ordered but the supplier went to great lengths to fix the situation. Never had adjustable suspension so it is a bit of a novelty for me, will play around with stiffness and ride height over the weekend.

yes, just jap.com are the local importer, two models , one quoted as street only at 1199.00, one quoted at 1299.00 street and track, went the latter. Given springs and shocks from others wouldnt be far short of a grand thought I would try the adjustable thing. Still playing with settings but really liking it.
Here is a few shots from this morning, but still playing with height and stiffness http://sdrv.ms/LUNFKm
