Default Ultra Lows For EB?

just wondering if king springs make ultralow's for an EB or is superlow's the lowest?

or do pedders make ultralow's?

cheers

don't kings call them 'super super lows' or is that an interpretation of the SSL part number.

I went to pedders early last week and had a chat with some of the guys there. The springs i got at the momement are pedders but i noticed my rear can come down a lot more. Pedders told me i got lowest springs that they offer and i would be better off going with kings springs at the back. So to answer if pedders make ultra lows, would be no. The guys also said if they did make lower springs that they would pop out or something, not to sure about what would pop out but he said pedders are for comfort more than looks.

with the diff at full extention they'd pop out of the seats is what he most likely means.

Nuttso has Ultralows in his EL Fairmont.

When we put the Pedders superlows in AdzELXR's car, with the diff all the way down, the spring was JUST seating, very close. (thats with the shock bolted in ofcourse)
how ever thats the point of short stroke struts, they don't allow as much extention so they can't pop out.

With super lows or ultra lows regradless of the brand you need short stroke struts to stop it from popping out right? By the way arn't ultra lows lower than the legal height of 100mm?

I think so, but when I jack my car up, the rear springs are sitting way loose, Like I've got about 60mm play in the spring. But after saying all this, my springs never 'pop out'.

how often do you drive over things that allow the diff to extent to the full?
just keep it in mind when jacking the car up.

as for ride height, yes... most likely be too low.
but depending on the car, superlows are too low too

What shocks you running? Any issues with tail shaft meeting the floor pan?

I used to have Monroe GT Gas, but they were ****. They weren't even shortened, so they bottomed out with no dramas. I changed to Shortened Ultimas which are a smoother ride. My car is low, but I have NEVER scrapped on anything. I'm careful when I go over bumps or up driveways. With the tailshaft issue, it only happens when i snap second on a dry road with people sitting in the back seat. There needs to be a bit of weight in the rear.

I got ultras in the back, but I do have fairly stiff shocks (Bilsteins) so I dont think it sits as low as if it had generic shocks. I tried superlows and it sat too damn high, certainly higher than others with SLs.
Springs dont pop out when the diff is at full stretch either.
I havnt scraped it, but I never really had much wieght in the back though

BTW XR-6000, which pic of yours is of the Ultras? The 'slammed' one? Or the other one?
If its the 2nd one thats pretty much what mine looks like, maybe a tad higher.

Lol! Sorry, I should've told people what photo's to look at! I have a mixture of stocks, super lows and ultra lows! Photo's which has Ultra's in them are:
- Front Right 2
- Cruise 50
- Cruise 45
- Cruise 48
BTW XR6 Martin, were you saying that the photo 'slammed' is how your rear looks all the time? That was when I parked on a hektic angle and I loved how tuff it looked!
