I will ask Adam what to do with it.

When AWC moved from Taren Point the bar was left there and fibre styling had no idea what it was and didn't seem interested.

Yes, I am making a TS50 rear bar to suit an AU wagon.

They were thinking about it, but I dont know if they went through with it. Would probably make more money selling all the parts individually than in a complete car.

As for wheels - they chop and change between the 2 cars as and when I fell the need. The Apaches will stay on the wagon for a few weeks at least, but after that, who knows? That's the advantage of owning 2 AUs - I can chop and change most bits at will.

The AWC spoiler comes with LED brake light integrated already. I have 5 brake lights (standard left, right and high mount one, plus the wing LED one, plus a Ford symbol one in the Hayman Reece tow ball hitch thingy - absolutley no excuse for anyone to rear end me!)
Metro ford in Brisbane converted around 12 AU1 Futura wagons at the end of series 1 runout just to get them out the door. They had series 1 XR front bar and some factory alloys and were badged "XRS". No rear spoiler though. I did a similar conversion on my 98 AU1 but used series 2 front and 17x8 XR wheels. At the time, the only rear "spoiler" available was the 2 on offer from ford spares (dust deflector and wing) but they just didn't do it for me so I left it standard...Linz.

A friend of mine who also has a wagon ba/au wants to buy the original Ford rear spoiler.

Anyone knows where to find one?
New, or second hand does not matter.
BUT, it must be the original Ford spoiler (not the acrylic wind deflector).

If you know, either PM me or post here on this thread the details, please.

I stand corrected FTG are going to do a Typhoon powered BA Wagon. Details can be found here: http://fordforums.com.au/showthread....00#post1179200

Are you referring to P/N ERN42210AKT (spoiler) that was mentioned previously? When I was looking for a rear spoiler 3 years ago, ford parts gave me a choice of 2 items...1 was an acrylic wind deflector that looks the same as the SSV item on the silver wagon photo and the other was an acrylic wing that attached the same way but it was flatter than deflector..more in line with roof. Didn't look too bad but not exactly what I was after. As far as ford boys knew, that was all that was available as genuine parts at the time. Is this the one that you're after? Are they not available any more?

Yes, im interested too in finding one of these ser 1 spoilers as well (not the acrylic wind deflector).
Sorry guys i wasnt asking about rear bars, but if any one knows where to source new or second hand, it would be great also.
But i suppose Mavs19 beat me to the first one.
Thanks

Yes, yours is the one I was talking about...when I was hunting for this, Ford were selling either one, dust deflector and spoiler...take your pick. This was when AU3 wagons were current. Obviously either one will fit AU - BF if they're still available...Linz.

That's it.That is exactly what you got in the pics on your car that we are after.

This pic is the original pic that Ford had on their site:
This is the spoiler we want.

BUT, now they have a pic of the acrylic wind deflector only.

The difference between this one and the one sold by AWC is that the original one has a more flat edge as the AWC one has a slanting edge.

The acrylic wind deflector Ford is selling now is (i.e. the silver coloured pic from SSV I posted) not what we are looking for.

The problem is when we gave the spare part number mentioned above to the local Ford dealer to order, what arrived in a box marked with that number which said: Rear Spoiler, was a different version of the acrylic wind deflector.

Thanks for that.
I hope we both can find one, new or used does not matter.

Hopefully someone on this forum may know where I can find one.

Well, well, well......

With help from some friends and through a direct communication with Ford I found out that for some unknown reason to mankind, they changed the part number recently from :

ERN42210AKT
to,
BAF42210ACJV

BUT, that is not the only thing they did. The price to start with during 2003 was $110.00(incl GST).
BUT, the exuberant price they are asking now for the exact same product is:

Are you sitting down???
Hold on to your pants......Here we go.....

A whooping $440.00(incl. GST).

Looks like an insane JOKE.:

Obviously marketing and economy is not Ford staffs forte.
They couldn't sell these spoilers when they were asking $110.00, so they dropped them from their list of genuine accessories.
Then they were left with some in their stock.
Instead of keeping the same price or having them on sale to get rid of them and use the space for some faster moving items. They are asking 4 times more hoping they can gain some of the loses and stock keeping cost this way.....
Well, keep on dreaming.....

We also found that you can buy a Rear Top Spoiler for a VW GTI, for $235.00 plus shipping.
Which looks exactly like the one sold by Ford but this one is made out of Carbon Fibre.
Luckily the hatch on the VW has the same width as Ford Wagon’s.

Here is a pic of the Carbon Fibre Rear Spoiler for VW GTI:

We also found this one from Opel Zafira, with an approx. landed cost of $225.00.

Same company makes this rear bar and they are presently looking at the possibility of making them for some Australian vehicles. Maybe they could be convinced to start with rear bars for.....I don't know.....say, Ford Falcon Wagon……

Just few examples of what is available out there and could be done.

Hey guys and girls,

Same question all these years later - chasing AU/BA/BF Wagon rear spoiler. I found a place called Car Mate in Fairfield, NSW, that does them, but I have it on very good authority to steer well clear of their products.
I've had no luck with AWC and SSV, although SSV did advise me that there was no demand, so they ditched them. They no longer have the mould either unfortunately.

I don't like your chances but you could try GTLEGEND in his thread.
