Default FordPass w/o embedded modem

Does it really suck?
I don’t think it’s worth trying to get it to work. It stopped updating and I can’t figure out how to get it working again.

My Focus is MY20.25 so I don’t get the embedded modem so the app only shows tank level and km remaining plus Oil Life. You also can’t upgrade them to have the embedded modem apparently and/or isn’t the worth the hassle?

Thoughts?

I think you are right. Frankly even with the modem it's a POS app that does nothing other apps don't do better

I think I have figured it out.
If you have CarPlay enabled it messes with the FordPass communication.
Sometimes I don't connect the cable straight away and so in that small time window FordPass syncs the information.
It is annoying.

Ford are discontinuing FordPass support for non-modem connected vehicles. Looks like I’ll be deleting the app as it won’t show anything soon.

Agree that it's pretty basic.

To be honest, the only time I use it:

- Trying to work out where my wife is.
- Push notifications to tell me when the alarm has been activated are useful.
- Remote lock in the event that we couldn't remember whether it was locked after going to bed (e.g. when camping).
