Hi guys,

Do you know any cheaper way to fix a sunburns on bonnet than visiting a car painter? Would any kind of waxing help here?

(not my car but sunburns are very similiar)

Wax won’t help as the paint is oxidised. You can rattle can paint it or wrap it, otherwise new paint is the only choice, although somewhat uneconomical for most cars.

if you are really lucky you can light sand the oxidized clear coat off and recoat with clear provided the underlying base coat is OK otherwise its $4-500 per panel to repaint

Try using the AFF search function for oxidised paint...here's one thread that may help.
