I feel your pain! I did a similar thing 3 months ago in Texas. Drinking, climbed over a pool fence slipped and broke my collar bone. An ambulance trip + metal plate and $40,000 later I was fixed. I learnt my lesson and will never put myself in that situation again.

no free medical there so the costs add up quickly
hospital stay $$$$ surgeon $$$ Theatre costs $$$ anaesthetist $$$ Pins and plates $$ drugs ( no PBS)$$ Physio $$$$ the US is not a good place to be sick or injured Makes our "inferior" health system everyone whines about look pretty good Quote:

yes but it will still be no where as good as we have it here there will be strict limits and you will be assigned a doctor . no choosing your GP and you will find the cover will be like their unemployment benefits you get X amount then you're on your own
