Default Damaged door handle

Hi guys,

On a road trip around Tassie and managed to scrape the buggery out of my right rear door handle on my 2012 LW panther black focus. Does anyone know where to get replacement parts for an LW?

Otherwise... Advice for stripping back and re-painting the handle?

I think Ford sells replacement parts????

If you are in no rush, you could wait for one to be wrecked... but if you want to match the colour you may be waiting a while.

If it is only cosmetic, take it to a body shop and ask them to quote a repair.. nay not be all that much seeing as it is such a small part.

Just get a can of spray paint from Autobarn or similar. They will make it up to your paint code. Remember to use a plastic primer if you're going to strip it back.

The door handles are an **** hole of a job to swap.

Lots to take off, and lots to negotiate once it's all off.

A pad to write down crap, bits of masking tape and a texta to tag each item,
and you should be right.

I dont know if you'll need a torx set for the LW's??

It is well worth having a dig around on Ebay UK. They wreck so many more than we do.
You will be able to buy one for 1/3 of what you would pay here. Make sure you get it sent via Royal Mail 'small packets'. Wont be more than $6.60

If you do it, could you take some pics with your phone and up load?

Cheers, and good luck!
