Default 6 Hour Relay, Phillip Island, Vic

Well as mentioned elswhere, we recently ran 3 team in the 6 hour relay. I managed Falcon Hell and Falcon Tough, and Mark ran Falcon Oath.

Sat was practice, and it piddled down, Sunday was the event, and it was totally dry. Some guys didn't get a dry run on Sat, which made it a bt harder to nominate a time for Sunday.
it's a regularity, so you nominate your time, and the aim is to stick to it or as close to without breaking it (you get penalised for going under).

Falcon Tough
Commonly known as Brute6.........

Vin......

with our 2019 recruit

Commonly known as a lot worse... but we will call him GRNKPR

Commonly known as XR06

Bluey......

... and Chris who unfortunately didn't make it past Sat.

Kind of makes you proud to be an aussie.

Falcon Oath

Chris

Owen

Pete – known on here as wykked. I’ve known him for years thru the dirty rotten datto brigade, and he very kindly let me co-drive his car at Nationals earlier this year. Great signage on his car though… ;)

Look he even carries the correct stubby holder too……

Keith

Dave

And our newest recruit, Gareth….. he’s been competing at our club events for a little whilst now and slotted in beautifully.

I get grumpy without coffee..... (Owen was aware of this and tried to keep me stocked up)

Cokkie was out on the wall.....

Michael and Michael jnr.

The team shots......

I was stoked to collect this....

It's a massive weekend (my teams are very well looked after- all their meals, accom, signage, document check - the works) but I love it. It's the only weekend i don't think "I'd much rather be out there" - more than likely because I don't get a chance to stop and think anything other than bonus laps and penalty laps.

But an awesome bunch to have around. If you don't get along, the event can be really draining. Lucky for me, GRNKPR's always there to set fire to his car or forget to do the wheel nuts up so I'm always entertained........
