Default tired of the same old questions and tutorial questions ?

ok so i noticed a fair few of the same tutorials and D.I.Y questions come up and well when i first joined i must admit i was one to ask a lot of questions instead of looking for answers.

we should make a post/sticky with the main tutorials or D.I.Y quides and questions that are commonly asked

e.g;
shifter surround removel/replacement
instrument cluster removel/changing facia
body kit install / bumper removal

just common and commonly asked questions

what you guys think ? im aware that Aufalcon is going to house most of the tutorials and how to guides in time, but till them.

We've been wanting to do this for a while. Add a sub forum within here, and add all the tech/diy stuff that is relevant.

But it has been nocked back by the site admin a few times, as they want to create (have??) a technical section for everyone. With all the info in there.

But i've just got another idea, so dauphin you have a pm.

Cheers

these threads are almost as common as the "how do i do this" threads

because at the end of the day, noone will read the FAQ thread anyway and the same stuff will be asked/posted.

I got the PM. Good idea. If someone wants to get a list of the relevant threads together and PM me, then I guess we can make a closed sticky and put links to them all. This will do until they get the bigger picture happening.

locked threads and stickies don't show up when you hit 'new posts' ...

Alot of members simply navigate AFF by that as there are aldready 100 and 1 subforums.

There is a link at the top of pafe (no matter what subforum you are in) ... it is underlined Technical Resources (in the blue header ... third field from the left)

Here's the actual hyperlink:
http://www.fordforums.com.au/vbporta...category&cid=3

Everything is IN THERE ... not just AU specific details ... but EVERYTHING.
Have fun reading ... this is where all Technical doco is put and in one central place so it doesn't clog up forums.

Seeeeeee ... I am not just a pretty face :P

May I suggest GK's post 8 above become a sticky as it has lots of How to's which cannot be found anywhere else such as technical info, sticky threads etc..

Oh and sorry to thread mine but I was looking for something and only found it in this thread.

No it isn't, not all of it.

As mentioned I looked at all stickies including the one you posted and the tech docs.

Anyway it really doesn't bother me if it ain't stickied, just thought it would help others.
