Talk about getting a nice big hefty fine for the blue lights and LEDS....
The isnt THAT bad (awful colour though) and $6000 for an EA CFI is simply over the top...

Would be lucky to get $1000. And I mean lucky. $500 would be more accurate.
It really is unbelievable what some people think their car is worth. They must think because they're stupid, everyone else is too!

Give the bloke a break seriously...
He obviously doesnt know what its really worth, theres plenty of people with AU's, BA's and FG's that over price their cars on ebay / carsales, do we pick on all of them as well? |

If he sells it good luck to him, I'm not a fan and wouldn't buy it but I fail to see why people get upset and defend the seller.
It's the Internet who cares |

It didn't sell. so what. no harm listing it and seeing what bites he gets - that's ebay. Don't want it? Don't bid (and nobody did)

although i dont like the colour its still a very clean car that needs a couple of l.e.d's removed for rwc,so its priced high so what, you dont have to buy it,some of the cars in our very own forum For Sale Section are rediculously priced but no one comments on that,in fact i looked this morning and several are priced thousands higher than current car yard prices,go figure.

I think you guys are a bit harsh on the fella. He has spent some money on the car and believes that he is entitled to get that money back. I did not think it was that bad - in fact it looks reasonably well looked after compared to many EA falcons. Sure, the blue lights need to be removed, and the price is well and truly excessive, but it does not look too bad to me.

Some kid builds a neat car to suit his taste (don't we all?) Then he advertises it for what he feels it's worth. You've got issues if you need to pick on some other guys ride IMO. Suppose it's no AU Forte with a K&N filter!

Sorry but when you advertise an unroadworthy centerpoint EA with nearly 300,000kms for over 5 grand you'd better prepare yourself for some interweb based ridicule.
Does anyone believe that he has been offered anywhere near what he's asking? I also find it hard to believe that anyone would do a $6000 bare metal respray on an EA, I'd be interested to see if he's got evidence of that. Its amazing the stories that people will spin, I bought a purvis eureka a few years ago which had the factory optioned spoiler kit on it and a mild ported 12at rotary, here's part of the email he sent when I first enquired: "Yes, it did 0-100kms in 4 secs. Also dynoed at 296km/hr. A little history: The car, being light in weight, would become airborne with all its power at 170km/hr. Therefore through extensive testing in a wind tunnel and with the addition of a Ferrari rear window blade and Lambo rear wing, the car at 200km/hr and up! would drop 1" and stick to the road like glue. Truly an amazing experience!" BTW the factory option spoiler is a fibreglass lambo copy and is exactly the same profile top and bottom so has zero aerodynamic effect. |

Funny, When I was selling my EB ghia several years ago I posted it here, whilst it was not over the top and modded (original except for SVO wheels), Everyone bagged me out for my asking price of $4.5k, saying I was dreaming. Well guess what. I was in no hurry, It took 4 months and the guy who bought it paid the asking price and was happy to as he could not find anything else close.
It would have cost him more to buy something cheaper and fix it up. Same goes here. Whilst it may not be our cup of tea, someone will buy it..

In his mind he would honestly think its worth 6000. Maybe he bought it for 9000 from australian fleet sales on parramatta road and is giving away at his rockbottom price. Maybe he still owes 6000 on it.
My mate runs a dealer and breaks hearts everyday telling people what their car is really worth. His effective price for a mint e series would lucky to reach 1000 because he's licking them on the car they are buying. People buy a new car and come back 6 months later not being able to afford it and expect a near sale price. They dump $10-15k most times |

Funny how the trolls (if there where any) on fordmods did not kill their version of their thread by attacking the OP.
