Gedday all,
Just purchased a second hand Mondeo ST24 2000 model, love the car but it has an issue with a severe miss between 1300 and 1800 od revs on acceleration. It happens in all gears but is more noticeable in the higher gears. It is worse when you accelerate hard from the 1300 odd rev range. The dealer ran the diagnostics etc and can't find any issues. |

Try an auto electrician who knows what he's doing, may be the coil that needs replacing. I had a similar issue with my 98 mondeo and the local ford dealer couldn't figure it out, so I took it to my local auto electrician who diagnosed it almost immediately and its all been sweet since .....

Thanks for that, I may give it a go if the dealer doesn't get back to me soon. The brother in law, a motor mechanic, reckons it's the plug leads, so auto lec should be able to test the both theories.
