The benefits of running proper 98RON also include detergents in the fuel to clean the engine internals according to the claims of the manufacturers. If you can, 98RON is better than lower grade with Octane booster.

i thought that the auto focus couldn't have the stability control installed. When i bought my focus i asked about it and they said it couldn't be fitted to my car as it was an auto. God i hate for service...

Apparently VDC and cruise are incompatible and can't be fitted together. Hadn't heard about VDC being incompatible with the auto trans though.

Correct. VDC was only available on ST170 standard or optional with manual Zetecs. Was also incompatible with cruise control. No biggie

Can get aftermarket cruise installed with the VDC though I have been told
