Does anybody know if in Qld, you can only water on certain days and between certain times.
Does this also hold true to washing cars? Does anyone know? |

Full link here http://www.qwc.qld.gov.au/tiki-index...r+restrictions
Level 4 is serious stuff. Mandatory ban on outdoor hosing, efficiency measures for pool owners using town water and restrictions for business, industry and government agencies. (concessions apply in some circumstances) |

Cool. Thanks Coupsta for the link.
Looks like you can wash your car any day or time as long as it is by bucket. |

buckets work on a odd and even number system here in qld (well sth brissy anyways)
best bet is to ring up your local council and ask them but i have been using buckets since they intoduced level 3 anyways i recycle the washing machine water,my bath water etc to water plants etc and even to wash the car etc so as im not using the towns water they cannot tell me how to use my waste(water) so i use it any time of the day anyways,if i didnt its only going to waste isnt it? |

I put in 3000l of water tanks and a pump... I can wash my car anytime I like. You can buy 500l tanks that would be ideal just for car washing. Hook it upto a high pressure washer and away you go. And for renters you can empty and move them.

same here... dam level (combined) at 25% is bad news...
we recycle bath/shower water for the garden/boat motor flushing, everything is linked up to buckets/pipes to the garden. Just think of how much water you use for a bath/shower. all of that is still good! Be smart people!!! The government is too ******* demented to do anything about it, so we have to take it into our own hands... as well as seriously pray for rain |

I've been wanting to do that, so i can freely go about my business, but we have had maybe a total of 20mm rain the last month. That includes a massive sudden dump a week ago |

You can also get a water truck to fill them.
