Dumb and Dumber: caught trying to rob a Police car, with Police inside

TWO teenagers got the fright of their lives last night when it’s alleged they tried to steal items from an unmarked police car with two plain clothes officers inside.

It’s alleged the teenagers were stealing from cars in a car park in Perth’s south eastern suburbs last night when they stumbled on the unmarked cop car with two plain clothes officers in the front seats.

Its alleged the two teens opened the back door of the car and when they realised it was a police car with two officers inside they fled.

The two officers chased after the youths and quickly apprehended them.

Police will allege one of the teens was riding a scooter which was stolen in South Perth a few days ago.

A 13-year-old boy has been charged with stealing and steal a motor vehicle while a 16-year-old boy is facing one count of stealing.

They will appear in the Perth Children’s Court at a later date.
