I have a Nokia X2 with a 2GB micro sd card which had around 350 photos on it.
The phone started to have problems displaying the pics as it was opening them very slowly and the next day all my pics had vanished. Now it comes up with a message saying "format card?" Is there any way to retrieve my pics or are they gone forever. Thanks. |

I've used Recuva from Piriform software to recover files from SD cards. There are also some other products on the market, but Recuva is free.

i had trouble with the memory card in my first digital camera and took it to camera house where the guy put it in their photo processor and was able to get the pics off the card before formating the card.
that was about 8 years ago and i am still using that card with no more problems, i just clear the pics off it and format it each time i use it. i now now store all my pics on an external hard drive.
