SAN DIEGO -- San Diego police say a 16-year-old boy throwing rocks at a sport utility vehicle was struck by a crossbow arrow fired by a passenger. Police say the shirtless boy and a friend were throwing rocks at a black Toyota RAV4 in the Linda Vista neighborhood Monday afternoon when a passenger fired a crossbow out the window. The boy was shot in the right side and was taken to a hospital. The San Diego Union-Tribune says his injuries are not life-threatening. His name wasn't released. Nobody has been arrested. Love the comments in the comment section God bless America.

What where the odds of that happening?
1,000,000:1 shot from the passenger there. Bet ol' mate kiddy won't be throwing rocks at cars ever again. "Never bring a rock to a crossbow fight!" - LOL! That was a pretty good comment there on that link. |

Must have been a lucky shot. I had one once, damned hard to hit a fridge at 40'!
But if you did hit it, the bolt went right through the door !!

How many people keep a loaded crossbow ready in the car for rock-throwing kids?
Unless the kid had been throwing rocks for some time, and someone came prepared...

I agree with you!! Bit like picking a fight cos you like fighting, and you know where to get one that will be seen not to be your fault. Still good shot! Hopefully he deliberately fired at a non lethal part of his body! |

Haha good job,my old mate karma is one not to be messed with.
Im not religious but i do believe in karma, what you give is what you get if you dont get it right away it comes back much worse later on, so just take it on the chin or the side whatever it may be on the day. |

Well that leaves us with the conclusion that wearing a shirt will actually stop the penetration of an arrow.

Apparently they both exercised their right to bare/bear arms.

Land of the lunatic fringe.
I remember driving over there 20 years ago when there were some ugly incidents involving road rage where drivers would be shot at for cutting off other cars, makes you think twice..... Sometimes we take our relatively safe country for granted.......... |

Thread that discusses a child being shot with a lethal weapon and some suggesting that is ok and he deserves it, sounds very controversial to me and not a thread that will end well.
