Mitsubishi had a Galant at the Tokoyo mtr show last year and with the 380 being discontinued this car according to the Melbourne Age paper today could be its replacement metioning it could arrive in two years time in Australia as a V6 and desiel. Looks a bit like a Aurion to me with a Lancer front.

Yeah thats the Mitsubishi ZT.

Most likely a replacement for the old Diamante in Japan rather than a replacement for Galant (ie our 380) in the US. The Diamante was discontinued i think in 2006. For those without complete MMAL knowledge Magna was essentially a stripped down localised version of the Japanese Diamante.

NRMA large car of the year, before that the 3rd gen (TE-TL) was Wheels Car of the Year back in 1996.

To say nothing good came from that factory would be to be completely pig headed. At least MMAL tried to have a go and put some passion into the large front wheel drive market with the VRX and Ralliart, let alone being the first Australian AWD car to market (and subsequently the only Australian manufacturer to make AWD an option across it's sedan range) and was also the first manufacturer to intoduce a 5 speed auto.

I doubt anybody would move into the factory, to old an .
I can see it being demolished. If mitsi decided to sell it they would get a tidy package for it, a massive chunk of industrial land that close to the city would be worth it's weight in gold.

I heard the land is approximately valued at 200million plus or there abouts.
