When it comes to price you should negotiate once they have pricing, but if they are decent people they will come too you with a good price first

Imagine all the hate you will get on your Facebook page if they're not, you've only been drumming on to people for ages acting like you know all the details.

Or conversely 1761Kg instead of 1861Kg.

My BA XR8 sedan is 1745Kg, and the FPV GS is 1774.

The things I note most on XR8

Everything premium is standard, that means no sub 50k car.

The suspension is listed exactly the same as the xr6t except "performance tuned" versus "sports tuned".

Towing is 1600 on auto, definitely supercharged.

I'm in and the minister for finance has approved. But if it's North of 60k it's gonna have to be something really special to close the deal as in R-spec as has been suggested.

If it's not supercharged I'm out no matter the price.

The di-vct 16 listed on the XR8 must be a typo carried over from the I6 description, the Miami is 32V and so is the coyote.

Also coyote is ti-vct not di-vct (I think Miami is just vct, could be wrong tho)

I know im late but I just checked the specs out comparing the xr6t and xr8. The xr8 comes with EVERYTHING. I guess it'll definitely be more than 65k? Just a wild guess don't shoot me if im wrong. Has pricing been released yet?

Ben
Is that the colour they are painting GTF no 500??

It looks dark for Gold but I'm assuming that's because it's taken indoors under bad light or is it suppose to be a bronze??

XR8 looks fantastic. But then all fords do!

Would have thought lane change assist would have at least been available on the higher spec models. Had this on a rental SV6 (standard feature - optional on evoke) recently and think it is a good accident avoiding feature.

Agreed. Its such a minor detail but it just makes the back look awkward...I too would remove it.

Other wise thats pretty nice.

Interestingly a shorter length on the new model XR's, which results in less front & rear overhang:

FG:
Front Overhang: 954 mm
Rear Overhang: 1179 mm
Overall Length: 4970 mm

FGX:
Front Overhang: 943 mm
Rear Overhang: 1168 mm
Overall Length: 4949 mm

That front end just s**ts on the Commodore design, the rear is a bit odd much like the Commodore but I suppose we can get used to it.

It's pretty amusing though, considering the XR8 next year will be reborn with the same spec engine as the FG GT, could you imagine being a HSV owner forking out all that money on a brand new GTS, then pulling up to the lights next to a FH XR8 and then sitting side by side all the way to 100 and beyond
Even more embarrasing would be the lower spec variants of the VF in HSV's stable getting whopped by a factory XR8.

If thrilling performance is your thing there’s the awesome 4.0 litre I6 Turbo, with turbocharger and air induction system, giving you 270kW of power and a whopping 533Nm of torque. If that's not enough our LPG fuelled EcoLPi engine delivers outstanding fuelling costs with no compromise in performance, delivering 198kW of power and 409Nm of torque.

Nothing amazing there.
NOTE: those exact words have been up since the fg release...hence the pic of the fg with that info...but still could possibly be unchanged in engine specs, but no official word from ford ?
