they are just donuts, i had them in LA last year just about every place i went, they are better than ur coles/wollies version but not as good as my french place down the gold coast. I guess anything here that is a USA product will be a hit or miss.

Krispies are the greatest donuts ever to grace our sunburnt country. Always grab a box when im flying back from sydney (there's a shop in the airport)... a friend of mine was in sydney just this weekend gone and got her to grab a baker's dozen on the way back. Glazed are definately the best but the berlina style not bad at all.

I was told that originally they were franchised (friends were looking at putting one in Adelaide) but someone has bought the entire franchise... so we'll have to wait for the corporate to start putting stores in. You'd have to have rocks in your head to not set them up in all the major cities.

Okay - so everyone who wants these donuts - email Krispy Kreme from their web site and register as "Friends of Krispy Kreme". Ask for dates in your capital city including Melbourne. If everyone does this they will see the demand.

They are the best - and I think at a couple a hundred calories a donut they'd wanna be.

You can keep them in the fridge for days - we had some for 5 days - and they still taste good. Other donuts die in that time. Long live the sugar.....

yeah there's one at Wynard close to where I work + the Huntingwood/Liverpool/Penrith shops aren't that much a drive from home either...

Any place that can sell donuts 24hours a day rocks.

These doughnuts were overrated in my opinion and it seems most Australians don't care for them. After a rapid expansion of Australian stores in the last five years, it appears the bubble has burst:

I wonder how this will affect BP? The travel centres (small stores have had pre made boxes for quite some time, but we did not as we had little outlets run by KK) here in QLD have been slowly but surely removing their juice bars and in its place has been krispy kremes. We were expected to have the change over at our store within the next month as the other north Brisbane and one of the Southside BPs have claimed the sales are worth the change.

The article linked is from today.

Some restore cars, others restore old threads. So it appears the company has tooth decay.

LOL epic thread mine

What's the bet with all this free publicity, people go..... Yeah KKs haven't had them in ages I'll nip down and buy a box or 10 before the shut up shop!

Poor management, the parent company here in aus has run other franchises into the ground, don't see DK with their inferior dog nuts going bust..
