In terms of sales, there's Hilux, Ranger and daylight to the rest, so if Hilux and Ranger adopt a V6 diesel as their main engines, they will probably gain even more sales over the rest. |

buyers who miss that smooth ease of performance, maybe just the shear grunt of a V6 diesel. |

No single or space cabs. No selection of 4x2. No cab chassis models, no manuals across the range, not a great network out of the city’s. But I tell you what the amarok is the only one I would buy. I just jumped out of a 6 month old sr hilux into a near on 100k old amarok and the vw is better in nearly every aspect. At the company I work for the amarok are the ones everyone fights over getting allocated. |

I have a 2.8 twin cab with trade type lockers on the back. If l have to manoeuvre around on ruff ground or even the slightest slope low revs off turbo no power at all. Heaps of revs clutch smokes, have to use low 4 which can be an pain to select in and out of. So more torque down low would be great. Having said that have used Hiluxs for 30 or years with out to many drama’s.

They all know australians love bigger engines. It’s the reason amg only bothers selling the higher power v8 S models like c63S and e63S. They don’t bother selling the non S models cause they know we want the more powerful ones. |

The lack of rear seat airbags would also remove the Amarok from many buyers list, especially if the vehicle will be used as a kid carrier.

No guarantee they have fixed the DPF issue on the new model?
