Thanks. Holding out for a game harnessing something similar to Google Maps Street View, except being able to drive around however you want, in whatever car you want. Think flight simulator, but with cars. Would probably be illegal in Australia, due to possible depiction of hoon offenses .

Have you seen No Mans Sky? Pretty much a never ending game, constantly evolving and creating new planets with their own environments to discover. Imagine adapting this technology to these kind of games!

The upcoming Forza Horizon is going to be the biggest map to date. I don't think even the older generation want to have a game with realistic travel times of melbourne to sydney......Horizon is a good mix of sim with arcade, not as strict as forza series but not as completely bat **** crazy as any of the need for speed games.
Forza 4 was my favourite and I have 6 but I got bored very quickly of the same tracks and nothing ever compares to the real thing. Tempted to invest in a game seat with peddles and wheel but think I may be wasting my money.

If you're doing that, grab a Logitech G920, then you can use it on xbox + PC.
I love racing sims, not a big fan of the arcade stuff, but I'm definitely going to get Horizon for a giggle. Can't wait.

.
I've posted this because the video embedded in the article shows the in-game driving of an XR8 and XY. Quote:

Always thought a great game would be a Bathurst one...I mean there would only have to be a couple of different tracks, and all the cars from down through the years...then mix and match. Modern V8 Supercar against the field from 1970? Classic muscle racing on the modern track? etc.

Considering its an Aussie based game, there isn't a huge amount of Aussie cars. Mostly Holden which is fine but farout could they have given us different Fords other than the hideous fgx and the usual list of wicked old school? They have been done a lot in games of the past. Stick in an ED or AU for something different!!
I still expect it to reek of american anyway. Will wait till its out before I think of buying it.

Been loving the game so far, but I have two minor gripes.
This is from Forza 6 as well, but I never liked how the Walkinshaw was grouped with the Holdens. Should be in the HSV group and it's carried over into Horizon 3 being a Holden rather than a HSV. The FG Pursuit is grouped with the Fords. Should be FPV. It's probably nitpicking, but that's just me. |

Thinking about it. Looks 'different'. I got bored pretty quickly with the main game. Still got it installed on my XB1 but deleted it from my PC. It's a wait for more reviews and see on this one.
