Well our Prados are cheap as chips
10,000klm service - $200 at Toyota Dealer Every 40,000 - Major service $750 Over 100,000 total is $3,100 or on average $310 per 10,000 for a dealer service. For a car that is 4WD and has front and rear diff oils replaced (at major services) dont think thats unreasonable?

I think diesel is only slightly more to service, however it's more the particular brands that sell lots of diesel that charge more for servicing their cars regardless of fuel type..eg VW..charges like a premium euro when they are the Ford/Holden of Germany, lol...and yes I do own one of the "people's car".
