I think Motor are clutching at straws here...
They have no idea what HSV is doing!! They reported a couple of months ago that a GTS-R using the 7 litre LS7 was a definate for production the following year. Now they are throwing LS9s into the equation just because the new ZR1 vette is out. They even chopped the exposed engine from the vette onto the HSV. Fair go Motor!! We know your trying to keep sales of the mag alive but this is getting out of hand. |

Yep that is the reason why I didn't renew my subscription,
Too much BS each month and it was always delivered a week after the shops had it. BTW I was being sarcastic earlier in reference to GTHO V10

If its true it will probably use the engine from the CTS-V rather than the ZR1 Corvette

I could have the numbers wrong but Im pretty sure the Pommy version of the Monaro and 4 door were available with blown LS1's with similar output.

Almost an exact clone of a DJR Falcon right there. I would be ****ed off if HSV brought out a model with the same bonnet as the Falcon as pictured here.

Right or Wrong ... This is massive exposure for HSV again! they have a PR machine or have lined alot of pockets, either way it makes the marketing and PR dept. of FPV look very weak... For mine, who cares if the build it, even if it becomes no more than watercooler chit chat. Over a beer or three I still talk to mates about the comeback of the Holden real wheel drive 2 door hatch (aka Torana) for god sakes :P

Sorry fellas, but i would want one. If Ford produced an equivalent product, then i would buy that instead. I would even consider trading the GTP for one too.

It looks like this month's issue will sell out!.. Watch all the olden fans buy it just to throw it back at us blue oval fans just so they can "try and prove" that holden is better and quicker

Just a thought. P.S. There are actually people out there who are Ford "fans", but also appreciate what the other side are up to as well. |

I doubt they would go ahead with it, even if it is there in concept. Its the 7.0L Monaro all over again.

you guys all must be blind if you think that car looks even remotely like anything falcon based.
it just looked like a VE with addon splitter, dodgy looking bulge with equally tacky stick on engine cover bit- ok a touch of DJR there, and crappy mirrors and an iroing board rear spoiler. seriously, its VE all over. no falcon influnece there =|

Squint and you'll know what I mean. The bulge is also along the same lines so to speak. You're right, its not exactly the same but the similarities are there.

Ford in trouble because of this thing? No... Ford will be in trouble if the BASE model Orion doesn't take off in sales...The BASE models are the bread and butter for a car model. If they don't cut the mustard, then the whole lot falls away. Example? AU Falcon....You can't tell me that an XR Falcon is not attractive. HOWEVER, the AU Forte was the Falcon that was aimed at the mass market, hence the result that we don't need to go into at this time.
A model that may sell 100 like this HSV is not going to put Ford into troubled waters....Ford itself has its destiny in its own hands.... |

holden are supposing doing this nugget of a car up to 400kw, but ford can easily match them and if not get them in 1/4 mile and overall better car with a majorly boosted Typhoon, honestly what stops ford producing 200 430kw typhoons? nothing and it can be done

That engine cover decal on the bonnet really is quite revolting.
The DJR bonnet plastic thingy was also a horrendous piece of jewelry. All imo of course! |

Apart from the Transformers looking bonnet decal, looks OK to me.
