hi all,
looking at getting extractors very soon, and im not sure wether to spend the extra money on a hi flow cat? can anyone tell me what would be the performance gains with the extractors and with the hi flow, compared to the extracotrs welded to the standard CAT. The car is a 94 ED XR6 5speed thanks in advance, Nat D

JMM always reckoned the standard falcon cat did ok and wasn't essential to change. I did mine on my xr6 for the hell of it anyway.

Unless your standard cat is shagged.. dont worry about changing it..
But if you really want to spend the money, Xforce ones are going for like $130.. thats what I have. |

if you look in centre of standard cat, than look at one like an american imported cat... there is big difference. my old man has one and i really don't feel any improvement in power. though maybe it will improve if he went turbo :P

naah just pull the centre out of your stock one, and then avoid the cops and EPA at all times.
Seriously I had a hi-flo on my AU and didnt notice any difference really, so when it was tine for a newie I went back to standard. |

Street Fords current issue 14 has a good story on the exhaust on an AU 6 & compares stock to cat back to cat back plus extractor to plus cat the gains would be comparable to the ED 6 might be a little higher because yours would probably be more flogged out & an older design.
