It's a rare colour but it isn't worth super dollars
Most people are not big fans of brown cars sadly |

Is it complete?
If yes than it is def worth more than the cost of a 351 and toploader |

Do you have any pics?? At least there will be some pictorial record of it having ever existed rather than just a word of mouth thing.
Is the body a basket case?? If not, it's worth saving being such a rare car. According to the GT Club website there was only 1 coupe made in this colour so it would be a shame to see this coupe scrapped. It's about as rare as they get!! Some Browns look great, Walnut Glow and Satin Brown look sensational!! Quote:
I wonder how much these 2 variations of CUB Brown differ.

Pretty smple really
The paint code is Y229 http://www.falcongtclub.org/PaintCodesXAXB.asp That is CUB brown If the VIN number on compliance plate, passenger shock tower and block starts with JG66 then it is more than likely the only CUB brown XB GT coupe Yes, it is very rare but the colour isnt one of the popular ones Please note, you would want it verified by someone in the know to ensure it isnt a rebody though. I know you dont want to call anyone but pm barra64 (the GT historian) and he can help you out. Good luck with it |

Am I missing something here, it is a one of one and not a desirable/popular colour.... WHO CARES!
I wish I owned an one off XB GT coupe! Bet it would look awesome once it was done up.

All i can say is, don't scrap it. If you want the motor and toploader, take it. Then give someone else the opportunity to save it. Then in return for the original block, ask the new owner to get you one in better condition as a thank you for letting him/her save it.

when we tried to work out the CUB xb gt sedan colour (it had a paint code error) it was described as almost like Royal Umber Y161 which is the flat non metallic brown common on EH's..

Someone will want it. You would have to have a screw loose to separate the original 351 from the shell. Bear in mind the toloader is not the original box for this car so keep that aside guilt free.
Well done on the find - youll make a few grand on it. |

Hi
I accidentally stumbled upon this thread when I was doing more research for the resto of my CUB brown sedan. As you can see by my username I am the owner of the beer car from the XBGT forum, so this thread interests me a lot. I would love to see a pic of this coupe if possible. How awesome is it to know that the cub brown gt coupe may still exist. I hope the shell was not scrapped. XP cruiser66 what options did the coupe come with. Does it have the country pack option by any chance like mine? Cheers |
