is that your baby on the stand ?

Edit, a quick google, it appears to be a 24 studder, so its a later model flat head ? cusso vintage ?

I think Chip will just keep it prepped but not overdone . It looks like it's got larger valves ? I wouldn't be surprised if it has some Edelbrock alloy heads ? One of their first heads Edelbrock made ..

awesome, i dont know what that model is , mercury ???
ok a bit more googling , it appears to be a 46/47 mercury, i was going to say it looked a bit like my old mans 48 ford.

and if that is the case and Chip is making it restored as per the vehicle original specs ,

1946/7 Ford/Mercury 239

Interesting engine the old flathead, look at the low compression ratios, built for the days of poor quality fuel and war years im guessing ?

lots of flat head specs on this site.

Mate had blown flat head in T bucket in NZ 30 years ago . When you see the crank and how the pour white metal then line bore . It make you think about rpm !! I hear there's a big aftermarket in U.S. For them ? Being the 32/34 Roadster was sooo popular . Though most are fitted with Chevy motors now ..

Running one in the 38, their a fantastic little engine (in some one else's car LOL)

Actually theres something pretty cool about a little asthmatic flatty, I wouldn't change it for a small block for quids

There's a massive subculture of side banger enthousists out there, especially in Melbourne, I've actually found it easier to find parts for ours than for an E series's L6 (that said I was stranded in Canberra for a rotor button (one of the clips holding the cap on dropped off and the cap slipped and the rotor button shattered) one Australia Day 3 or 4 years ago, because mine runs a Piolit Dizzy not the crab type,
All good I think I've cornered the market in Piolit Dizzys and rotor buttons now so I know I'll never need another one

I'm guessing that Cusso is what I've always known as 'Cuzzy', i.e. Customline?

If so, am under 30 and known about them since I was a child...
