Lightbulb ABC TV "Wide Open Road"

Share your car stories with us and help make Australian history.

Australia’s vastness has spawned a national obsession with cars and driving. ABC’s upcoming TV documentary series, “Wide Open Road”, will explore our love affair with the motor vehicle, and how it’s shaped our history.
We’d like you to help us make this series even better. Simply tell us your stories: about the cars you’ve owned, the road trips you’ve taken, and the revheads you’ve known. Send us photos of those beloved cars of today or days gone by – show us super-8 or video of family trips up or down the coast – tell us how your home town has changed over time thanks to the car’s presence in our lives.
This series is being brought to you by the team who made “Long Way To The Top” and “Bombora: The Story Of Australian Surfing”.
“Wide Open Road” will be broadcast on ABC1 in the second half of 2011.

I am sure we have FF members whose cars would qualify..

Oh goody, I can point out how 'bad' it is for ex ABC journalists/staffers to enter politics, such as the one who become NT Cheif Minister circa 05 and who was deadset on imposing the lunatic 130km/h signposted speed limit effective Jan 1, 2007 - over its earlier (//) allowance.

ABC - stuffing us up - stick with radio lefties:-)
