Default Whats your favorite car related purchase of 09

Stealing this idea from another forum I'm on, what was the best automotive related purchase you made last year and why? It could be anything from getting a supercharger or new engine, a new tool of set of tools, through to a new project or completed ride?

Mine's simple

I got a solar welding helmet, I have been messing arround with the ld flip type CIG one I got as an apprentice arround 1990, the kids got me this for fathers day and it's just so good.

A modded cluster from auMatt!! Awesome to look at! Even better on my colour blind eyes when lots of Green and Red make my eyes tired!

Of '09? Probably a tune of the Haltech E8 I had in the S15... just before I sold it :(

2010... so far? A new set of tyres for the AU. Not really that exciting is it.

Mine would have to be getting the Patrol.
For at least 7 years i have wanted to buy a 4WD (to use offroad) and i could finally do it last year.

Also, i got my full bike license too, something that i have wanted to do since i was 18.

My Raptor supercharger was my best purchase of 09. My best purchase of 2010 I reckon will be my intercooler.

altezzas and class don't belong in the same sentence. All they do is look ricey.

My best purchase would be the serpentine conversion. It's nice not having a power steering belt fall off every few weeks

The John Bowe Experience at Eastern Creek. 8 laps in "V8 race car" then 3 ( which turned into 5) with JB at the helm in the p1ssing rain sideways at 120kph. Looking out the front window directly at the retaining wall at the side of the track. If I had looked left out my side window I would have been looking directly up the track. : : :

I reckon mine would be the simplest. An interior vanilla scent from Supercheap for $4.99 that everyone who sits in the car loves. Even I notice it everytime I hop in.

Hard to say, it would be a tossup between the 10.8mX6m RHS shed (pictured here before the big auto-opener roller went in), or the bargain Statesman which I scored for $800 with rego, which will begin its resto after the bank account recovers after I have holidays in March. But I reckon the shed, cos I'm getting a lot of use out of it and having lots of fun setting it up and making shopping lists of tools and equipment to buy in the near future

The 99 Starlet I bought as a cheap run around 2nd car... Does what it's designed to do, no more, no less. Cheap to run, cheap to insure, and I won't care if some tool opens their door against it every now and again.

Not really an outright purchase but I finished paying off my BA late last year.

2010 is looking like a quiet year for car related purchases for me unfortunately. I have to think of other fiscal priorities i.e. house deposit, upgrade the TV to something from this century etc...
