http://jalopnik.com/344272/detroit-a...8-v12-tdi-live Just Found out a new r8 will coming out and will be more powerful than the last one : : : Take a look at the most extreme diesel car ever built! One of the biggest stars of this year’s Detroit Motor Show is Audi’s mighty new R8 V12 TDI. Powered by a thunderous twin-turbo 6.0-litre V12 powerplant, the oil-burning supercar promises to be even faster than its petrol powered sibling. A huge 493bhp and an earth-shattering 1,000Nm of torque will make this Audi a true thriller. The sprint from 0-62mph takes only 4.2 seconds – 0.4 seconds ahead of the petrol model. Thanks |

Gotta love the conservative claims of Audi. The petrol model has done 3.9 sec 0-100 yet they claim 4.6.
Expect something like 3.3-3.5 for this one.

Will they still have the N/A V10 as well? I think that is a more viable production option than a TT V12 Diesel.

I wonder what the extra weight of the diesel would do to the cars handling...
But agreed, this car has awesome looks.

They should dump in the engine from the Audi R10 LMP1 car.
