I would not ride a scooter on the road for many reasons. The main one being you have about as much protection on a scooter as you do as a pedestrian when hit by a car or even (god forbid) a semi-trailer,except you are spending a lot more time on the road than a pedestrian and traveling at speed with force ,so in fact worse protection than a pedestrian.with the morons that are given a licence to drive on our roads these days it is like playing russian roulette with your life by riding a scooter on the road.yes the petrol delema is not going away and i now its painfull, but not as painfull as some lifelong injuries you might receive if one still lives from the accident, and i can give you plenty of first hand examples of some of my friends over the years,a couple of whom are no longer hear and i'm not that old at 37.others with lifelong injuries.
If you wish for more examples go to You Tube and type"when cars attack"just to see what can happen with pedestrain like protection. The bottom line: my life is worth more than a few dollars a day,i'll consider it life insurance.and dont forget "WHEN CARS ATTACK" |
