Default MD Mondeo

G'day all advice please.....

For the last few weeks I've been considering updating the golf diesel. Need something more comfortable, so looking around here and reading as mich as I can, I've noticed you guys love the md diesel wagon, and from what I've gathered as long as its serviced regularly including the DCT its all good to go.

I need a car comfortable for the freeway, I do about 200kms per day so something that gets me about 1000 to a tank is what I need.
Also need something that will occasionally tow a trailer of firewood so will the DCT handle that?

My list so far includes passat and mondeo...

Is there anything else specific to the mondeo I should look out for? I'm assuming the mondeo will drive similar to the vw dsg??

I had considered an ecoboost mondeo, mainly because I can get stuck getting out of Melbourne's peak hour traffic for 45mins and dsgs love stop/start traffic, but I don't think the economy will be as good?

Hoping to do some test drives this week 😁
