I've just heard on the news that the government is trialing 100 gps units which will be fitted to cars which judge what speeds your doing, beeping if you break the speed limit and maybe even forcing the car to slow down. Depending on the results of this experiment they will decide whether or not this system will be compulsory for everyone.
I can imagine if it ends up being compulsory traffic cops will be made basicly redundant in pullin over speeding drivers if the government starts using the devices to transmit data whether a car was speeding and by how much to send out fines which i wouldnt be surprised if this government chooses to do... i nearly choked!
