3 weeks, after ordering them over the phone, you couldn't order online back then and the plates were only $310!

Well i certainly feel better as I thought it was tough that you had to wait 10 weeks and there was not notice until after you have confirmed the order but 4-7 days is great .By the way lookout for XRSICK in the Northern Suburbs couldn't believe my username was available cheers

Default Personalised Plates

Hey just wondering which of you guys have personalised plates? also do you reckon people are more likley to remember or target your car if u have them?
Asking because i live in the Eltham area and there tends to be alot of trouble with people getting there cars keyed(mine and a mates the other day in a shopping center carpark) so i wondering whether these are a good idea cus i dont want to make my car stand out any more?

If you're clever enough then you can have customised plates that an enthusiast would recognise but local donut patrol and disgruntled hybrid loving hippies would pass up. I'll never forget the skyline with CYAHSV or that dirty vl with HEKTIK though, and neither does my mate whose at goulburn police academy... :

I'm considering getting some custom plates down the track in a standard format cause i don't wanna be noticed by the boys in blue.

Your car standing out is only an issue if you or people in your car give it a bad rep, the only exception is usually bored little w@nkers that just want to trash other peoples property. I have personalised plates and havent had any negative issues yet.

well, i dont have personalised plates yet, i was going to get them, but my car stands out enough as is, and i really dont want an easy plate for cops to remember aswell, i have a friend who owned a skyline with cheeky plates and was hassled to no end by the police because they were familliar and he used to play up a bit.

I am sorry to hear that your car got keyed, i would be out for blood if that happened to me.

i've had them on my last 3 cars - the trick is to get something that doesn't stand out and say 'hi, i'm a flaming moron'. I usually get basic descriptions of the car.. (and no, not how SIK it is etc).

I have reordered previously issued plates. 3 letters and 3 numbers in green writing on white background. Im guessing only an enthusiast would pick them out.

yeh it got keyed down the left-hand side starting on the passenger door and went onto the back door, they bloody had to do 2 pannels didnt they and its deep aswell right down to the undercoat.
i reported it to the eltham police station because there is sercurity camera's convering the whole carpark but one i filed a report at the police staion i never heard a thing, i doubt they bothered to do n e thing.
My car not as bad as my mates, he had f*** you c**** written across his whole bonnet, bloody disgraceful (this wasnt on the same day nor in the same place)

Don't like em personally, they can be a tag for the car for unruly people, including the filth, they cost a fortune, (and in nsw I heard you have to pay a yearly fee for them), and my biggest pet hate about them is the w@nkers tryin to ca$h in on customised ones that supposedly sound cool....

I have custom plates, but then again my car is always in a garage, so I haven't had any issues like that.
