it just shows how little people know about the coyote/Miami v8 in general, it is far far superior to the lsa , and just because Holden jammed a Cadillac engine in a gts , as they always do, people assume its going to be a top fueler lol, vcm suite is mainly a holden cam, otr, tuning software company,, vcm suite = biased ,

Not really mate because we allready have the benchmark, less powerfull GT335 dyno runs to go off. If a more powerful tune in the 351gt doesn't average more then we got problems.
The GTS has already been Covered many times......we know it'll be between 290ish an 330ish rwkws.

We need a picture to spam all over social media(similar to "Boss of V8Supercars" poster) of the GT-F captioned with something like," GT351, the most powerful Aussie ever!".
So enthusiasts, the general public and those twits at wheels all bloody well know about it!

Interesting figures, shows the GTS has about 30rwkw and 50nm more in the midrange and the GTF has the advantage above 5500rpm

That is what I would expect from a car with 25 per cent more capacity to be honest. It would be surprising if that was not the case.

And for the record, I don't really care who has the most power and do not see any reason in the world to get worked up over it, or talk about different tyres sizes, diffs etc. I mean really who gives a toss. I just find it ridiculously purile to come on here trying to stir crap with the talk of such things, especially from people who know absolutely zero about cars apart from what they read and take as gospel on the internerd.

Thankfully someone had a good look at the charts and gave some objective comment rather than a personal attack. FFS I was just looking for a good objective debate and I made a mistake, sorry I'm not perfect.

Just filling in time waiting for the Mustang. The Yank "Tank" as you put it accounted for the R Spec in Motor magazines comparitive track test, (February 2013), so it ain't half bad and is massive bang for buck for the money I paid. No way would I have paid another $28,000 for a GT-F, GTS maybe.

GT-F is a good bit of kit that should have been what was released in 2010 if Ford had proper funding. The GTS is a generation ahead. Bring on the XR8 and Mustang already. Its a shame the GTS uses an intolerable amount of fuel, realistically 20L per 100 km's can't be tolerated as far as I'm concerned with 98 Octane at $2.30 here.

Thanks. It would be interesting to see the bottom end of the power and torque curve too. From my previous ownership of Wolfie I reckon they're not that impressive in the 1,500 - 3,000 r.p.m. range where if we're actually being honest is the rev range where these cars spend a lot of their time in everyday use.

Geoff, you don't have to be an accountant to know a $28,000 price difference between cars is a lot of money, and so is paying circa $50 for every 100 km's driven...pretty sure you could work that out.

Maybe it's an auto thing Rodge but my manual 335 is nuts low revs, mid range & obviously top end! Still only 5,000 k's on my 'P' Rodge & it is crazy fast & loving it more & more everytime I drive it.

It would have been good if they threw a regular GT on that dyno as well so the GTF owners could compare the 351 tune to the 335

Look, if you want to be scientific, then you need probably five stock cars of each running equal pressures and strap downs then the five traces averaged into a median. If not done something like that then any result is anecdotal at best.

Considering ford couldn't even afford to put decent tires on it why would you think the tune is much different anyway?
The gt was always under rated so really an extra 10fwkw could be all they have done.
So far all i see is two dyno runs with 40rwkw difference. I suspect in the middle of that is the real power its making.

Regardless of the dyno talk at the pub as we know this is just a ****ing contest. I'm still yet to see a GT/GTF beat a GTS same track/ same day by the same tester. I know we are waiting for a auto v's auto comparison, but i still don't think it will beat the GTS. Time will tell.

You seen to have all the answers, you must of have been involved with the Ford GTF 351 tune software development to comment? Please tell us all then how different the 351 tune is over the standard 335 tune?

Gotta lol at the muppet on ls1 putting up figures from HPF... They got 282 rwkw from a sc gt and the dude from HPF goes on to say that there's no chance in hell a 5.0 would make over 340rwkw's on a reputable dyno

Each to there own. There has been more positive comments than negative on the LS1 forum for the GTF.

You will always get some people adding fuel to the fire. I wont mention any names. Rodge

If you wanna talk about affordability, instead of spending $95k on a GTS, get yourself a GT-F for $80k, then spend the other $15k on mods (500kW KPM tune, coilovers, P-Zeros etc) and then invite your friend with his GTS to a track day...

Let us know the result

By the way, the 348rwkw result was not a fluke >>>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNwsz6RSB4s

i dont believe it would be a fluke Bent8, but some people do seem to have short memories, and if ford tickled the tune to make the last GT the best why the **** would they not do it, the guys at ford want to go out on a high note, any other speculation that it would not make what they said it would is absolute crap imo.

And to think the new XR8 is only a tune away from a GTF+. Sweet.

All you need is a non biased experienced tuning shop. Base run on a standard vehicle that everyone knows the power of, followed by the two heavy weights.

There are plenty genuine tuning shops that will be happy to run these two Australian build modern day muscle cars. I can name a number of them up here in Sydney, invite Both wheels and Motor as well as street machine and two engineers, one from each camp just to make things fair and let the figures do the talking. No arguments. Then crown Australia's most powerful car.

All we want is a fair comparison. Is that too much to ask?

Ok.. GTF & GTS... One of each... Motors out and ENGINE DYNO them?

(then we'd have.. "oh, but ours still had the alternator & P/steering pump connected")
This whole BS is a no-win, round & round in circles we go.. honestly!
Doesn't have to be that way. We have chassis dynos for this very reason. Lets not make it harder then what it is.

By next week, the dust will settle. We will have an official dyno winner crowned.

Next challenge will be the drag strip..

If Wheels didn't mud the first dyno comparison results, there would of been no further discussion. The record will be set straight come next week.
