It's the longest I have had the same config, of any system I've owned. It's due for an upgrade as I have had it for nearly 2 years (use to rebuild every 6 months or so):
Intel S478 2.6GHz 800MHz P4 Processor Gigabyte 8IPE1000 8x AGP Mainboard 1024Mb Kingston Dual DDR Ram 1 x 80Gb Barracuda V SATA 7200 RPM HDD 1 x 80Gb Barracuda V 7200 RPM HDD 1 x 60Gb Barracuda IV ATA 7200 RPM HDD 1 x 120Gb Barracuda V 7200 RPM HDD 1 x 200Gb WD 8Mb 7200 RPM HDD 1 x 160Gb WD 8mb 7200RPM External HDD Panasonic 3.5" FDD Powercolor 'Evil Commando II' 9700 Pro Video Canopus ADVC1394 Capture Card Creative Live! 5.1 Audio USB 2.0 Expansion Card Intel 10/100 PCI Ethernet Card Sony DRU-700A DVD+R/RW/-R/RW Logitech Z640 5.1 Speakers Canon A3000 Flatbed Scanner Canon i3000 Colour Printer Monitor Hansol 920P 19" Kodak USB Picture Card Reader MS Wireless KB and Optical Mouse 400w Atlas Aluminium with 8x80mm Case Fans Then there is the P4 1.7Ghz Cruize Radio box and P4 1.8Ghz server, Centrino notebook, HP 4000N Laser printer, HP 960CXi deskjet, and HP 2210 multifunction. Site needs an update, but this one deals with my computer side: The Atomic Smurfbox

The beast, or NERDBOX as it was named many years ago has served me well, born in January 2000 it boasts a 450mhz Intel processor, 1gb ram, 80gb HDD x2, 32 mb Savage S4 video card, DVD ROM drive, 52 x CD burner and a FDD .
Apart from the crap video card (luckily i'm not a gamer) this system was quite reasonable back in the dark ages. I have other PC's and laptops including an Apple that are brand new and about 5000 times more powerful, but I find I still use NERDBOX the most |

My work computer is a twin head 100MHz microSPARC IIep with 8MB of ram onboard per head. It has no hard drive, no cdrom, no dvd. But it does have 100Mbit network access, video out (DVI) 4 USB ports, Smart Card reader.
Oh perhaps the back end servers you'd like to actually know about. Well there are 4 of those, each have 4 1.28GHz UltraSPARC IIIi processors with a crossbar interconnect for non-blocking system communication between the coherent 1MB E$ and the 16GB of ram. Each of the 4 servers have 4 disks internal with functionaly optional hardware RAID. Actual home directory space is on another server which has 4 336MHz UltraSPARC II processors which have 4MB E$ each and physical memory of 1.5GB. It has about 120GB of space for user home directories for an office of about 70 people. All this hardware - just to give me a desktop at work which I carry around in a smart card chip - which is portable anywhere in the world on the work network. Plug in the smart card in Singapore and I get my desktop, try in the USA, UK or even remote home office locations and I get my desktop with my applications and my home directory at a moments notice Other than that I don't own a PC, i've got a Powerbook G4 800Mhz laptop with 1GB ram, DVD/CDRW and 60GB disk.
