Unfortunately the Top Gear Australia mags have nothing to do with Top Gear Australia TV... Separate businesses - SBS for the TV show vs ACP for the mag. Australian Consolidated Press is PBL co-owned. PBL own Nine Network, hence there won't be any free plugs for the Aus show on SBS.

ACP did a deal with BBC magazines for the magazine licence which is why the UK show will get a good run via what appears to be 80+% recycled content from the UK mag, leaving the rest for token Aussie stories unrelated to TV. Unless the Top Gear Aus show hits Foxtel (25% PBL owned) in the future, I doubt there will ever be much magazine coverage...

... And then there's TGUS, which I imagine is a whole different ball game again... (lookin' forward to that one too!).

TGUS - Just looked it up... BBC are making the pilot for NBC, so US content should flow into the UK/Aus mags.

NBC site also says the show will be online (though it may be US only, so you'll have to run through a US proxy server to watch it)
