hey everyone

just wondering ive seen it done with ran turismo on this forum, so lets do it for us xbox owners, and yes GT3/4 is a better game in some eyes, but i think forza is much more fun, anyway, lets have a competition,

lets decide on a track and cars 1st

track:

Nurburgriing

Test Track Infield

or the most popular track amoung you guys,

car:

05 Mustang

04 GTO (monaro)

or the most popular reasonable car amoung you guys,

rules:

all modifications are allowed besides engine/exhaust/throttle body and so on, so in other words no modifcation in the icon with the carby engine on it, suspesnsion tyres and all those other ones are allowed, and you are able to create your own ser up also, naturally.

anything that you guys majorly obkect to, just post it, and we will discuss it

yeah i think it's a good game, have not played GT3/4 though. theres some good tuning abilities.
If there's enough people i'll play, when i get xbox live we'll play online, just need to find $50.

forza motorsport personaly is the best racing game out for me, the cars and the realism is phenomenal...but ive also found its an awesome DRIFTING game, although it says no drifting believe me you can just log onto youtube and type in forza motorsport and they have clubs dedicated to drifting on forza,

because i know basically use it for drifting my favourite track is the test track and my fav car is my drifting 200sx se, orange paint, carbon fibre bonnet, sits on the ground and i can get that thing sideways like no tomorrow, or my other fav is the 427 lingenfelter corvette cause that 427 sounds ridiculous even in the game.

yeh i have lol ive completely modified the 200 in every aspect and then spent 3 hours tuning the engine to drift spec...got her sittin on the ground LITERALLY messed with camber,toe and diff, spring rate everything bro so she doesnt spin that bad, try fully locking the diff i found for me she doesnt spin as bad i mean i do have to launch it on half throttle otherwise it spins like crazy but i have more control through corners...

My drift car on FORZA is an AE86, with the 2JZGTE. Thing flies, but its pretty hard to control, lol.

my drift car on forza is fully modefied 4wd, lacia delta, that thing was made to drift

lol all the 4wd's r easy as to drift bro, i still find the rearwheel drives better though. You dont have to enter the corner with as much speed as you do an awd/4wd car.

Just got back into this...

Someone choose a track and a car and that'll be the challenge.

Going off that first post, no engine mods allowed??? That rules out most of my cars.

Oh, Lingenfelter 427, bah. Hennessey TT Viper, much more fun...

I own Forza and GT4.

Here's my opinion on both games.

Fun/Realism/V8 notes=Forza

Variety of cars/replay value=GT4

I reckon Forza rocks, because of engine conversions and also the cars don't lose value, like on GT4.(When modified)

One thing that ****es me off about GT4 is, you spend about $200,000 on a car and make less money, than you paid for it.

i liked gt4 for the same reasons the only thing that put me off is you cant drift the cars round corners...mainly the f6 LoL

Oh it's possible mate.;)

I managed to drift a Monaro, around Nurburgring.

It's easier on GT3 though.

Can be done but not easy when you have one with over 700Hp :eclipsee_

my forza wpn is the datsun 280z with the RB30det Engine , wheelspin in 1,2,and 3 then gains traction in 4ths and loses it again in 5th

has any one been able to get a 1/4 time of 9.17 ( I think) or less no cars can do it, even with over 1000HP?

damn 9.1 what car is that?

i used a mustang and painted it up it dukes of hazzard theme hehe it even has the numbers and the confederate flag made from many streched shapes and stars, looks mint and handles real well

My best is 9.46 with the Cadillac Le-Mans car...

Yeah the time was close to that, it was a R-34 NUR. I played with the settings, I found that when i changed the gearing in either direction it made the car slower, it a long time to get the launch right. i'll try and see if i can do it again, it was a one of thing.
Most of the cars can only do low 10's I found with the exeptions of few, well maybe with hours of tuning.

i have nearly finished forza and i didn;t know you could do engine swaps or drag racing!! where are they?

Just checked my time was 9.139
to do engine swaps go into engine upgrades, on the right hand side, if you can do one it will be unlocked.
Ring with mustang.

there isnt drag racing as such, but they have a 1/4 mile drag strip option. In free run and click on the point to point racing, the track right at the end..
