Last Man Standing is one of my favourite Bruce Willis movies, great gun battles and story. The Forgotten was okay, but would only watch it once. I would love to see The Cars That Ate Paris again, I barely remember it, but I love Peter Weir's films like the great Witness and Picnic at hanging rock. One of the best Aussie directors ever. Duel was Steven Spielberg's first films and was written by Richard Matheson, who wrote for the Twilight Zone and The Night Stalker, also wrote "Trilogy of terror". Great suspense and action. Army of Darkness is a cult classic, "give me some sugar baby", seen it about 15 times. One of the worst I have seen in a long time wasThe Pink Pather (with Steve Martin). He just isn't funny anymore.

Donnie Darko is a classic, very smartly written script, keeps you thinking what it's about and if you're not taking notice, you wont know what's happening.
Saw Castaway listed a few times, goes for a long time but the story keeps you woodied in to whats going to happend next I cant stand those rubbish cheerleading movies, like Bring It On for example, or those wussy musicals like The Sound Of Music or Grease |

The worst movie I ever saw was a horror movie that my friend hired out. It was called "Hell Avengers". It was about a reality TV show set in a haunted house. The thing was, the ghosts were only meant to be special effects, but the house was really haunted by the original owner of the house. The confusing part was that this bloke had 3 ghosts! WTF? The ghosts basically ate all the contestants in the reality TV show (high quality special effects - the ghosts were really eating a pile of spaghetti sitting on the stomach of the deceased - that was meant to be their guts). Pretty much every member of the cast died in the movie. It was so bad it was funny. The script was terrible, the special effects were even worse, and the 3 ghosts thing was just plain weird.
Also Bewitched was pretty bad. I saw it at Gold Class cinemas, where they bought out Bundys every half hour. It made it so much more bearable. It's amazing what alcohol can do to your senses.

Worst Aussie movie ever 'The Wannabe's" with Nick Gianopoulos (sp?) After the Wogboy I thought it would be ok, it was abosolutle excrement and I felt embarrassed for the actors while watching it and seeing the dumb punchlines that hit no where near the mark. Would rather a BJ from from a rottweiler than have to see this film again.
Worst US movies I can recall: Code 46 Housebound As for some of the others mentioned, I liked Duel, Miami Vice and Donny Darko, pretty much agree with everything else.

If you meet Arnold Schwarzeneggar, don't mention Last Action Hero because he' a little bit sensitive about it.
I reckon Titanic was among the worst ever. A ship sinks. Big deal. We can have a movie about a person in a Commodore crashing. There's my guaranteed Oscar! Oh wait, there's already a film about that...it's written in the Herald Sun everyday! |

hehe i actually liked The Village, i thought it was interesting to see to what extent people might be willing to go to separate themselves and their family from 'evils' in the modern world. Made me think of all the real life cults and how thats essentially what the do, shut themselves off from reality and try to create their own idealised 'perfect world'. But even in a meticulously created world the 'evils' of human nature were still able to foster...mind you second time i watched it and i knew the 'big secret' i wasnt so intrigued and i sat there going...'as if that would happen....' or 'but why wouldnt....'
I dont really remember the bad movies i have seen, heck i cant even remember the names of some of the really good movies i have seen! Any movie which makes me go 'yeah right as if that would happen' or where i question the plot or how realistic things are every two bloody minutes are the movies i get frustrated watching... I have not been able to sit through a whole Star Wars movie...although i know this statement will make me unpopular with the gang of star wars nerds...They are THE MOST mind-numbingly boring and ridiculous movies ever...if only i could make up some sensational crap and rake in the money from it too.... Best Aussie Movie- Bad Eggs. Comedy without being too try-hard like most australian movies seem to be.

now im a big fan of war movies but it got 10mins into "the last drop" with billy zane and had to turn it off, it was terrible i have never seen a worse plot or more awful acting, they tried to make a war movie into a all action cheap blockbuster. No wonder it went straight to DVD

Also, I for one have used a jacket to hold my ailerons up plenty of times, and I also land on taxiways too - Airports love it when I do that, we all laugh and say; "just like die hard 2" Must admit though, at the time the movie was pretty cool.

Man, there are some great movies being listed here.
Universal Soldier one is fantastic, as is Donnie Darko and Army of Darkness. There are some terrible movies out there, but one of them that we own on DVD is My Girl. My Girl is the most pointless movie in existance. Boy meets girl, boy likes girl, boy dies of bee sting. The end.
