I don't think its coming here, however Holden is doing most of the research and engineering work as underneath is based on the ve global rear wheel drive platform.

Ive seen a black on LHD and a silver one also around Melbourne.

Holden has done the chassis, and it was meant to take over the Monaro's place in GM Holden's local lineup. However due to GM's recent cash woes, the RHD version is one of many to get the chop, so sadly for some no camaro for Australia (not me, I was never a fan of the new camaro).

Yeh, Holden would've put their badge on only for the Holden folk to put the Chev badge back on, like they do with the SS's etc.

But I do like the styling, except for the front that looks a bit wierd.

I let Monaro go, if this makes it here in RHD this will be my next car if the prices are CV8 equivelant.

Like XR6 190 said it was going to be sold here but due to GMs financial woes the RHD version has been axed.

Yeah Fishermens bend is doing much of the engineering here since it is based on the Commodore's platform. I have seen numerous LHD test vehicles on the Monash.

I think they were actually going to sell it here as the Chevy Camaro to make the most of it's heritige. It would just be wrong to re-badge it as a Holden.

That pic posted is of the concept car. They actually used the concept car when they made Transformers. The stunt drivers had to be very careful not to damage it.

open your eyes, they're right there.
The transformers movie was filmed with that prototype, so it has brakes.
As if anyone would bother to build a car without brakes :

Even GM makes mistakes. At least they have identified the issue.

But seriously it has tine brakes for a muscle car, or are they keeping 60s traditions.

the brakes are fine, they look small because the rims are big. 60's brakes were drum brakes, so i don't think there is any comparison there. Massive discs and calipers are either for circuit racing or for factor. They don't stop you any better, they just fade less.
