Default Show us your GT4 Stats

Well we have had just about every other type of thread for the game, so it will be interesting to see how people are going.

Heres mine, you must post a pic as proof. I had 100% on GT2, but it looks like getting 100 on GT4 is going to take a while.

At the moment I am trying to get all gold on the license tests, but even that is damn hard, so many times I have got within a few hundredths of a second and then I get to frustrated to go on..LOL

Wasn't to sure were this thread should go, so mods feel free to move it else where.

in gt4 do they still have the replays of how you should do the licence test? i found them real helpful on sussing the right lines in gt3, even when they didn't get the gold on the replay!

best of luck!

ps i have xbox so no stats!

Yeah they do, but you can take the exact same line and still be a pooftenth off the required time.

Here's my progress.

I posted the pic of the T-Model Ford I got as reward for getting all licence golds over a year ago. I'll post again if anyone is interested.

GT4 has gotten to the point where it is just silly. I got 100% in GT3 with no drama but in this game you gotta do like 3 x 24 hour enduros, and others which are almost as bad. I can do 2-3 hours max before I get over it. Oh and my B-Spec person drives worse than Rick Kelly, thinking that spearing off the track and crashing into things is fun!!!!

80 Gold!!!! Holy crap that is just freakish...well done!

I am half tempted to ask Sony whats the go with B Spec, because as you said there is no way I am going to sit there and do 3 24hr races! And for whatever reason in B Spec the stupid thing crashes into the wall; even on a straight!!!

i used B Spec...i completed all the enduros Bar one which i can't recall ...

i went 4 hours into 24hr nurburgring then thought this has to be a joke

i also used the formula gran turismo f1 car for the b spec driver.....never really went bad...i found the computer could drive better on red tyres than i could

Forza better cars, better burnouts, better game. Double clutching in GT4? Nope. ;)

That's nuts!

I can do 2hr endurance race but I B-Specced even the 4hr endurance race lol. I'm about 46% completion.

This thread should be stickied

omg ur kidding, i just started again 2 days ago and now this thread comes up..

anyhow i had it at 98.xx% , only needed to win the F1 championship and get all licenses on gold.

a hint for the 24 hour races... get a fast car with nice tires thats a fair bit quicker than the competition and set it on b-spec and let it play all day by itself (turn ur TV off if you want), would also be usefull to come every 30 or so minutes to put the speed of bspec mode x3 again (so u can finish in much less time).

Yeap thats what I do, have a look at the difference in my a and b spec mileage..LOL

BUT, like I said before, the stupid computer continuely slams into walls when its on a long straight. I cant remember the course name but its the french one I think that has that massive straight.

I dont think it car setup because they all do it.....maybe I got a buggy GT4, because alot of times in the license tests dont save either.

A spec is when you drive, B Spec is when you set it up to drive for you.

Nah I mean the A spec points, not mileage. The bit above the licenses on the screen shots.

the more you let ur b-spec driver drive, the better he gets. mine can be put on 5 every lap, and he kills, it. never goes off track. EVER!

just let the b-spec driver drive more at say 3-4. he will get better. thats what the machine skill etc is all about.

ohh.....well mine should be a champ, but his a chump, like I said, if there is a long straight for whatever reason it smacks into it and rubs up against it until he stops. Then he gets going again and does the same thing on the next lap!

I dont think Ive played with the cars setup, so I am buggered as to why it happens. Its only on those 24 hour tracks, his fine on the others.

I still haven't for the special licence yet ... the snow course with the Pug is holding me up at the moment.

But so far I am around 76%-ish ... and I haven't tried B-spec yet either. Couldn't be bothered with it. I'm more interested in A-spec.

But I hardly get time to even turn the PS on to play anymore.

My bet, it was a viper, 2 player using slip stream me and a mate got it upto 580+.
As for game completion i got upto 96.4% then got tired with it as there was only 2 24hour races and the formula GT cup left each of which i coudnt be bothered doing. So i started a new game, its a shame you cant have multiple save files.

i think the 24h races are a joke but i had mine at 98.xx% as well, mostly started using b-spec. the best car i found was the lemans mazda, i think its 787b or something. the f1 car was good for short races but u cant change the types of tyres so that sucked.

a hint for GT3 players who want to go 600kph+++

get a toyota GT1, fit on the best turbo u can buy and buy all other options.
In the suspension settings put the following.
ride hight front - highest
ride hight back - lowest
soft springs all round
in the gear box- max out the ratio for max speed.
in the aerodynamics section
make front has no downforce
back has full downforce.

go to the test track, do u U turn and go the wrong way (this allows you to do as many laps as you want) and keep going as fast as you can without slowing down.

if you set this up right and tweak it properly, the car should wheelie stand at like 300kph and then start rocketing to 600++ kph.

:P
