Yes we should blame the worker because it not her fault where she parked. They were moving cars with a forklift illegally, so in another word it against the law. The contruction site is on a small surburban street were homeowner have there cars on the street. No one illegally parking there nor are there any warning sign to say you can't park there.

So for all of you blame the maserati and sexy female driver for parking in the wrong place, well she didn't park in the wrong place, infact she done nothing wrong. So stop your jealously dumb quote cause we all wish to have a car like one day (and maybe a lady friend like her too), don't we.

Don't enven bother flaming me. My 2c worth!!!

arrogance is the idiots that think they can park where ever they like. they deserve to get their car tipped. if they really need to park it their ask the bloody supervisor of the construction site.

signs exist for a reason, as if they didnt know they were doing the wrong thing, desrves the owner right, the arrogance is on behalf of the owners not the forklift driver.

The fork lift driver is gone, he has no legal right to move it, even if it is parked illegally, so what, shoot the guy?!

Im tipping the owner of the Maserati has a lawyer.

Funny thing is she was not the owner, just looking after it. Hate to be in her shoes, And two wrongs don't make it right either. Working for a company and going out on a limb to get the job done, I don't see the company patting him on the back for his efforts there. Thats what police and councils are for and should have been called. The worker will pay the price.

I'm with the workers on this one.

But when that guy comes back, he can just as easily sue the construction company for the cost of a replacement one...

she parks a car knowing its a construction zone and the just says stuff the company, who need the space for unloading of trucks (otherwise council would not have sanctioned the zone)

maybe arrogance on both sides, but the dumb *** woman started it, as usual

Maybe there was a bit more to the story. Parking may have been limited if she lived in the street.

Hope the forklift driver gets screwed and respects people's property from now on.

She only just moved in. They might of even parked one of their trailers, skips or dumped some of their equipment in a parking zone too.

When I was working for a plasterer some years back, a similar situation arose. Car had blocked the only entrance to the site and a delivery was just coming in (tiles if I remember correctly). The forkie was making his way to the driveway and lo and behold some P.O.S (I'd love to say Commonwhore but I really don't remember what sort of car it was) was blocking the driveway. So he forks a pallet, scoots over to the offending vehicle, picks it up with the pallet (so as to not damage the car underbody) and moves it some spots down. Problem solved. Hours later, the moron owner didn't have the foggiest idea that we moved his car on him and we are ****ing ourselves laughing.

Moral of the story is... I like stories.

Guys you are quick to condem the woman! it could have been an honest mistake on her part, the fact that she drives a flash car has nothing to do with it. we should not assume anything. what if she was waiting for the NRMA, perhaps out of petrol? perhaps while the car was parked legally the keys were locked in the car, or the house? ?????? this could have happened to ANY of you guys...

How many of you guys have got a parking fine for mis understanding the signs? i got done under the coat hanger caus the sign was split in 2 and i failed to read the separate clearway sign....

This is a prank gone bad. the driver of the fork lift should be condemmed and the car should be replaced at the cost of the cunstruction company. you would be spitting chips if it was your car im sure.....

Just moved in, never been there before, whats it matter .... READ THE SIGN... parking in a clearway doesnt mean your car wont get towed cause you didnt know, ignorance is no excuse.

A bit of commonsence would have been nice by both parties in this case. Even if she had just moved into the street surely she would have noticed the construction site and the signs. Mabye she had parked there before and hadn't move it till hours after 7AM! Mabye they were ****ed off with it being in the way all the time.
As stated in the story it was just after 7AM,so why didn't they give her some time to move it. Seems more to this than what is reported!!
Just another thought, why did the forkie have the car 2 MTS off the ground. You think he would have lifted it just enough to move it.
Mabye his previous job was working at a wrecking yard!!! :

Maybe she shouldn't have parked there, but I don't know what her situation was. What I do know is that the forklift driver was a complete idiot for doing what he did, even if he needed it moved he has now got himself into way more trouble than if he had just left it where it was. Behaviour like that is asking for trouble.
