^^ Where there's smoke there's fire!
Rubber so hot it liquifies, exhaust so hot it glows, bitumen scorching hot, rear brakes near white hot (on the ones that don't disconnect them)........ the rubber burns. It's also pretty common for diff's to leak due to this excessive torture - I would imagine that boiling hot diff oil might light up too. |

Also she had a couple of friends entered . Better than doing it on the roads & getting busted or hurting someone . Sensable I suppose , she's got no inclination to do it herself. Just like me I reckon , I LOVE speed , so went to about every car race 1971-1980 in Sydney & competed "on the track" 1974-1986 , but was a "grandpa" on the roads . (still got my racecar) . It got the speed out of my system in the right place .

Yeah these cars probably rarely come out to play, so why not.
I dont see the point of building something like this up and not using it. If they were smart (surely there must be something like it) you would put a clear plastic (?) coating around the rear arch etc, so you could then juts peel it off and hey presto all the crap is gone.

Many do that or cover the qtr's in tape. Works ok until the belts start whipping the car!

Does anyone notice that there are so many more hold#ns pictured above than fords?
I have looked at plenty of the official street machine vids of these events and the ratio of hold#ns vs fords is very stacked towards the gm side of things. thats also the feeling i get anytime i pick up a street machine magazine. does anyone else think the same? agree or dis-agree? |

The aqua torry does all the burnout comps in WA. It's built specifically for skids. Tearing the flares off is all in a days work for him....

Its probably got a bit to do with Holden owners being bogans, Summernats is like their mating call....jk :
Seriously though, perhaps Holdens dominance of the V8SC's might have something to do with it. Obviously Ford has been kicking butt for a while now, so in a few years perhaps you will see more Falcons about. I assume these beasts take a little while to build up. Although bring on the Camaro's and Vettes, cant get enough of them
